Amazing for cordless

Great belt sander! It is very powerful and easy to use. Be aware, it can eat through batteries (5AH and higher do better).

Typical excellent quality of build and performance that I have come to expect from Ridgid`s 18 V Brushlish hand-tools. Tracking adjustment works perfectly as does the belt release/tensioner. 20 minutes or so of use with 80 grit belt uses about ¼ of a 9AH battery. Lifetime warranty is also great.

Good quality good dust collection runs great but I bought the 4ah battery to go with it and it runs through it super fast and when I use my belt sander it’s normally for hours so that was my only inconvenience

Great handy cordless belt sander. Sure it doesn’t have the power or run time of a corded belt sander but that’s exactly why I don’t use this when I’m right next to an outlet. This is great for when you don’t feel like breaking out and plugging in your corded option or when you’re not near an outlet or when you simply want to just grab it and pull the trigger to get the job done without thinking. Its powerful enough to get the job done but I would recommend having an extra battery or two handy like you would for most cordless tools.

Overall amazing tool! Easy to use, easy to control, and fairly light-weight. Worked well while sanding in odd positions / angles (far better than any heavier corded belt sander).Unfortunately I needed to do some intense sanding (lots of surface area with a terrible coating that I couldn’t remove any other way). The downfall is that it draws a ton of power. Rotating through 2 batteries, I’m at a standstill for 1 hour or more… after draining both fully charged batteries in 30 min… just something to be aware of.Still giving 5 stars – for an average sanding project, it performs very well!

Great for small jobs! Not so powerful you dig through the wood. Very controllable. Dust bag works very well! First use was sanding 1/8″ rise off birch countertop w 80 grit belt, then finishing off w Ridgid 18 volt orbital sander.

The belt sander works really well. And the dust collector is pretty decent. The sander goes through batteries in a hurry though. A 4Ah battery will only give about 15-20 minutes of run time

The belt sander comes in so handy for the quick jobs that I need done, makes finishing a job on site that much easier.

So great to grab it and go, no 100 ft cord to lay out and then roll up when done. I do have a few corded tools but they are for special applications. Most of those are not Ridgid. I have converted all of the primary tools to Ridgid because 1 battery fits all and 1charger keeps them running.

I found the sander to be well balanced, easy to operate and easy to adjust the belt position. I was working on an out-building that did not have electricity nearby, so needed a cordless tool, and this sander provided the perfect solution to my wood working project.

Needed for refinishing an old table top. Cabin is short on power so this helped greatly. Worked much better with the 6 or 9 amp batteries. Dust bag also does a good job of breathing and filling while the tool is working.

This is a great belt sander. Hefty and controllable, the belts track as expected and makes quick work of task at hand. I would purchase again.

Works exceptionally well. The economics of the tool are perfect, it is balanced well and the battery does not impede its use.

Don’t know, cause there’s no battery
