Extreme Power! This brush-less power base for multiple tool application heads is a BEAST. I love this thing. I have used the right angle drill head with it, and the impact driver. The system is crazy powerful. I got this instead of a Hole Hawg, and I am glad that I did. The attachments are easy to interchange. They are easy to install and remove, and they are very secure once attached. The brushless motor is very powerful. This is one of the most useful and innovative products to come along in a long long time. The carrying case is great too. All 4 of the pieces that I have fit in the bag. It is heavy duty enough to handle the job.

Amazing power with the hyper lithium 4.0 batteries. Can’t imagine the 9.0 octane battery convenient easy to use ergonomily sound easy to change all the heads/attachments. Robust yet user friendly.

I have long been a believer in the ‘Jobmax’ system. If the Mega Max keeps adding to its work heads this is going to be a real money maker for Ridgid. Not to mention having the full system covered by th Lifetime Warranty Coverage.

The Megamax was easy to put together and has plenty of strength and durability. Great tool!

Is heavy… however, great for a multi attachment tool.

This saw is a serious beast. Ridgid claims that it is the most powerful cordless on the market. It certainly cuts faster than any recip saw I’ve ever used. Maybe the stroke is longer and stronger? I don’t know, but the blades seem to last a LOT longer since they don’t heat up as much. Very impressed.Ridgid, please give us more Megamax stuff.

Great and Powerful tool system! I love the new Mega max power tool system. The power head for these tools is a Beast! The attachment of the reciprocating saw head to the power head is very secure. The system for attaching the blades to the saw head is very innovative as well. You do not need a special tool to change out blades quickly and easily. The tool is very sturdy, and feels good to grip. I also like the tool carry bag. It is strong and sturdy. This saw has handled all of the jobs that I have thrown at it, from carpentry projects, to cutting branches out in the yard. Very good tool!

Reciprocating saw head is a must have if you’re going to adapt the awesomeness of the new megamax. If you want to really unleash the power of the base unit like no other you will need to make sure you get the reciprocating saw head. It offers all the great features of Ridgid’s traditional reciprocating saw but with the option to add awesome. Yes awesome is the sound of the system twisting and locking together making a solid piece of machinery unlike anything on the market. If you don’t believe me. Try it!

Its great having the function of adjustment between and heads and angles. The bag it comes with has plenty of room for all the heads, batteries, and charger.

Looking for this base to go a long ways with Ridgid Tools only have three heads available for it looking for the future for new heads

Not a bad tool but very heavy and bulky. Ended up returning and getting the regular reciprocating saw which is way lighter and less bulky. I feel the regular saw has a bit more power as well

I havent used it but I look at it and its a beast.

Megamax should be Megatorque this thing is Definitely professional grade and it is full of features. And did I mention “It has torque” the quality is pretty much a normal thing for Ridgid, but the development guys must have worked overtime on this one. Probably the best feature on this is the octane battery ability. If you don’t know about that I’ll give a briefing. The safety cutout on most modern tool batteries means if you put it in a bind the battery temporarily cuts power. The octane battery has extra power tabs for the heavy duty tools designed to use them that give it more power. Anyway back to the tool it is extremely comfortable and the heads can be turned to one of four positions to make it even more comfortable and the power is better than most of my 110v tools. I’m looking forward to other attachment heads but they already have 3 I know of and they easily take the place of your regular tools. Thought I would mention, this is not jobmax compatible which I also have. The jobmax is extremely handy for your punch list when you are finishing up a job but this megamax is strong enough to use from day one on the job. I think you will be happy with this tool and like me you will be looking forward to the next addition.

I don’t quite understand how the designers were able to deliver so much power in something that can be detached but wow, I’m impressed! So far I can only speak to the recip saw attachment at this point because that is what I primarily wanted and ripped open when I got it. The recip saw attachment has amazing power and cut through my project like butter! (I guess a recip saw is only as good as the blades you have on it, but with the nail embedded diablo blades I got at Home Depot it was awesome!!). I gotta be honest, I wasn’t expecting the computerized beep sounds to happen with I attached the battery. That was pretty cool and felt like I was locked and loaded!

For a portable drill it’s a little heave but very well made and being able to add other features Iis a big plus

The new megamax system is the best new tool to hit lately. The saw head fits the base like a glove with tight fitting in all 4 positions. What I mean by that is you can turn the saw in 4 different positions allowing you to choose the most comfortable position I dont know if another tool that allows that other than the jobmax (megamax little brother ). The saw is also has Tool-free adjustable shoe and orbital cutting action with a on off switch allowing you to turn off the orbital action if you want to. And tool free blade change. The octane feature is something you need to experience to appreciate. With a octane capable battery on the base it gives it a boost when it gets in a bind and keeps you working. The lifetime warranty means they stand by this design so no worries. I definitely recommend this for adding on the megamax base.
