This tool is a no brainer for the features you get at the price point. Youre getting a reciprocating saw with an adjustable toe and orbital action for half the price of the super sawzall from Milwaukee which is the only one with the orbital action from team red As for team yellow they are behind the times and dont offer a reciprocating saw with orbital action at all. The only one that comes close is the XTR from Kobalt as far as features and price but Rigid has them beat with their LSA. Do not hesitate to buy this tool.

I’ve only had the saw a month, and used it for cutting some roots from a tree we were removing. The battery charged within reasonable time frame. It worked well within the expectations I have for Rigid brand products. I was slightly disappointed it did not come with a carry bag as most Rigid tools do but hey for the price I am well able to deal with that little problem.

Saw is well built all around. The trigger is easy and gives you excellent control. Only downside is if you use it all day you really need a 5 or 6ah battery. Good value.

Purchased in July of 2013, I use this at least weekly. It has replaced a small chainsaw for pruning branches from 3/4″ to 4″, thinning trees, cutting stumps to the ground level. I’ve use it for sheetrock, and as a jig-saw for rough cuts. I cut metal pipes (up to 2″) and flat-stock including half-hard O1, and high-chrome industrial bandsaw blades. Outside, inside, hot, cold…always worked great (use at least the 4aH batteries, the smaller kit batteries are near worthless with this tool). This Spring (2020) The trigger lost the variable-speed control, it was either off or full speed on. Warranty was simple, took to a local authorized repair center, paid a handling fee of $15, and exactly 1 month later I got the saw back and running great. May have been due to the pandemic, but I felt the wait was excessive and docked 1 star.
