Excellent saw. Plenty of power and easy to handle. Installed a Diablo 12” carbide pruning blade and took down a small tree (maybe 15 feet, 9 inch trunk) and chopped it into firewood and kindling. Took less than a couple hours and battery still had juice at the end. Blade always went through smoothly and quickly. Tried the oscillating setting, but didn’t seem to need it for this task.

The tools are quite good but registering for the LSA (warranty) is impossible. I’ve had all the other brands of tools and I’ve found Rigid as good as or better than all of them. However, the registration process seems to be set up so that you will never get your tools covered by the LSA. Everything you submit gets tagged as inadequate.

I had a similar model before the octane version and had not registered it for the service agreement after several years of hard work it died. Well the price for this one was right because it came free as a bare bones option tool with purchase of a combo starter pack. This tool is more efficient with the powers consumption I had no complaints with the old models power consumption. Great tool.

Only had for a short while but have been testing it on random pieces of wood and drywall and I have to say it has an excellent feel compared to an old corded milwaukee I had. Not slagging off the milwaukee, it was great, just old and heavy. This is so easy to pickup, slap a battery on it and go. I’ve been slowly replacing my corded tools to the rigid brand of cordless so I can always substitute a battery from one tool to the other. Yes, it’s only been a few weeks but I really like this saw and would recommend.
