It is extremely heavy duty, however if you’re hoping to use this for hand tools, make sure you understand this is a large and heavy battery. It has the power needed for most jobs, and battery life is excellent

Purchased in July of 2013, I use this at least weekly. It has replaced a small chainsaw for pruning branches from 3/4″ to 4″, thinning trees, cutting stumps to the ground level. I’ve use it for sheetrock, and as a jig-saw for rough cuts. I cut metal pipes (up to 2″) and flat-stock including half-hard O1, and high-chrome industrial bandsaw blades. Outside, inside, hot, cold…always worked great (use at least the 4aH batteries, the smaller kit batteries are near worthless with this tool). This Spring (2020) The trigger lost the variable-speed control, it was either off or full speed on. Warranty was simple, took to a local authorized repair center, paid a handling fee of $15, and exactly 1 month later I got the saw back and running great. May have been due to the pandemic, but I felt the wait was excessive and docked 1 star.
