Great product, small but effective cuts just as good as a reg sawzall

I purchased this tool mainly for cutting limbs (up to about 2 inches diam) from trees along our various hunting trails for easier passage. It worked great for that purpose. One can hold the limb with one hand, and cut with the other. The cut should be near the trunk of the tree otherwise there will be a lot of vibration along the limb. It has an ‘orbital’ saw setting that I did not use that much. Although that did cut faster, it had more vibration than what I liked. For small cutting tasks in the ‘outback’, it worked better and safer than a chainsaw.

This saw works very well. I had a previous generation which is similar in form to the multi-tool head with the reciprocating attachment. Battery life is very good and has good control. The only thing I would change is the location of the light which should in my opinion be lit from the opposite side because it creates a weird shadow when you are trying to line up your cut. I ended up covering it with electrical tape so no light at all.

My collection of Ridgid tools continues to grow. I was a bit concerned about this having the power and battery life it would need. I shouldn’t have been concerned. This thing is a beast. Cut a good stack of small firewood for the first use — all on one battery (6 ah) charge. Ridgid rocks!!

Good tools for our second home without having to spend more. These should be fine for casual use. Don’t like the fact that every tool went up $10 bucks just because they were getting popular. I will buy more if I need them but I would not rely on these for construction trades.

Works fine but use a lot of battery.

Relatively good power in a small package. My intent is use it to trim branches from trees and I believe it is ideal for the task

the saw was light weight and much better for pruning my small trees then my chain saw

I wasn’t sure if this would work but it does and does a great job. Good balance and good grip. Cordless has its limitations but also has its advantages.

I have over 200 acres with ATV trails. This is a great tool for trimming larger tree branches from those trails. Quicker, quieter than using chain saw.Great for widening trails. Very versitile as have used it cutting out window openings for hunt camp.

Overall this thing is great. Way better the. Lugging around a full size saw. The k ok not reason I gave it four stars is because it is a little heavier then I thought it would be however it’s easy to handle and use and fits in smaller spots.
