This tool is great … but the only thing I would like to see changed on it is the front Guard !! It should have the same guard as the saw zaw !! Cuts great ( I use the Dewalt blades) and tool has a lot of power !

I’ve been using this tool for about a week now on a full house renovation. Many walls had to be torn down, floors opened up, pipes to be cut, and skylights to be installed. This tool is the first one I grab out of the toolbox. Its very light weight and easy to handle when having to cut above my head. Plenty of power with the 6.0 batteries and long life. The anti-slip hand grip is a plus when having to extend on my reach without fear of dropping the tool when hands are sweaty. The light is a huge bonus when light is limited in tight spaces. Another great Rigid tool in the Octane line.

Although this hand held saw is a bit larger than most competitors I am very impressed with it’s performance. The feature that I like most is that the hand grip is enclosed protecting the operators hand from brush while in operation. Is also performed well against all competitors in anYou Tube demonstration against five other similar saws for performance.

Ordering on line was easy and it arrived a couple of days before it was supposed to! I have several RIDGID Tools so the battery was not needed with this order. This is is truly a One – Handed tool, my first use was to cut out a couple of door jambs and framing, put in a big demo blade which was easily done with the tool less ring collar, and the job was done in minutes.I love the size and the ease of changing blades, not having to find an extension cord is also very convenient, especially when trimming limbs in the yard. This tool exceeded my expectations by doing things my corded recip saw would with ease and greater mobility..

Great tool for getting into smaller areas where the full size saw won’t fit. However as a plumber I wish it had an articulating foot plate instead of the wire guard which occasionally causes it to jump when cutting pipes

I bought this tool because it was more compact than a normal reciprocating saw and it was cordless. As for it being one handed I suppose that depends on how one uses it. The primary purpose I had in mind for this tool was pruning and cutting down under brush that is too big for my loppers. It worked well for this task. Battery life was not an issue for me. I found it necessary to use two hands when using it for this task. The tool is very front heavy when gripping it by it’s handle. Using the tool in any other position than with the cutting edge of the blade down was difficult for me. All in all, it did what I asked of it and have no complaints.
