I love RIDGIT tools, this purchase was for my son. He thanked me, and is now a life time Ridgit customer. One service improvement recommended is the lifetime battery policy. It only applies to certain purchased batteries with tools and not separate battery purchases. I would like to see the lifetime battery policy apply to all Ridgit batteries because everyone needs spare batteries and the same warranty should apply when purchased separately!

I received this saw as a Christmas gift. I used it the first time a few weeks ago for cutting 1/2 PT plywood. Using an Irwin carbide tipped blade, it cut through the plywood and a few PT 2x4s with ease. It also went through the battery almost as fast. This was the first time I used the saw and basically liked it. I was concerned about the battery life, but wasn’t a real issue with me since I have several ones to use. The safety switch was a little cumbersome but I got used to it. My biggest concern is the blade guard. It appears to be made of plastic. I would imagine it break fairly easily if the saw was accidentally dropped or fell from a work table.
