Collated attachment takes a non-standard bit length (148 mm) that appears to be unavailable in Canada. Ridgid makes these (Phillips is AC96614, Robby is AC96615) & Home Depot USA website lists them (though even in US Phillips is currently out of stock) So far they aren’t even listed on H.D. Canada website. Advice for Ridgid: If you’re going to make a tool that doesn’t use bit length that isn’t an industry standard size then its on you to make sure they are available.

I bought this tool as I am working to finish a basement. Hand screwing in drywall one at a time is slow, tedious, cumbersome and not effective from a time perspective.I haven’t used a collated gun in years. I first looked at the pneumatic but for $51 more I was really interested in the freedom of a cordless unit. As I have Ridgid batteries and chargers in my arsenal already it was an easy choice. My first impressions are that the manual stinks. I assembled the unit with both the collated and the drywall nose attachments and tested them separately. The performed as expected and sunk screws to their respective depths. There is a locking lever to set the length of the screw on the compressible guide on the collated attachment. Also, there is a fine-tuning depth dial to help out. The drywall nose piece has indicator arrows to raise and lower the end to achieve the proper depth. The tool is built to what Ridgid standards are expected from past experience. It is not overly heavy or imbalanced and even hung well from a blue jean pocket by the attached clip. It had a load mode that allows this unit to not have the tool rev up to full speed before sinking the screw. With an 18v 4amp battery the tool performed flawlessly. I was able to be up and running in no time at all. This has definitely reduced my time per sheet and was well worth the money invested. My only complaint is the forward/reverse switch. Sometimes it can be flipped without knowing and won’t drive a screw in, this happened about four times over the course of 12 sheets and it was the user error where I had accidentally moved the lever. I would like to see a switch that takes more effort to move to avoid this.Otherwise, a great time-saving tool that makes my life easier and a great investment for a reasonable price.

Not very happy with the gun very disappointed at how it sinks screws. Not consistent depth at all. I actually put it down and got out the corded gun. I’m a union steel stud/ drywall guyVery disappointed

Ridgid great brand, hard to dial in the collatered screws, but once i got it set up it works like a dream, highly recommend for the price on sale

Works great! Even for people with little drywall gun experience. 4/5 only because it occasionally has a misfire that requires repositioning screw sleeve.

Power holds to drive screws a little less violently then other types. Nosel cone is nice for grip and auto drive, but its girth makes its akward for tight spaces and corners.

Everything I expected

This is an excellent tool. The only issue is the magnet is not strong enough as in other brands I have used. So some time the screws just fall off the tip which can be annoying if you are using one hand to hold the tool and the other hand to hold a piece of drywall

Was disappointing to find it only does collated screws up to 2″. Does not feel as well built as most rigid tools.
