The new RIDGID GEN5X 18-Volt Flexible Dual-Mode LED Work Light provides multiple lighting options for the workplace. The flexible neck secures the light on a variety of surfaces to provide optimal lighting. This light also features a dual mode setting to switch from spot lighting to area lighting depending on need and provide 170 Lumens. With the new lifetime LED there is no need to change the light bulb for the lifetime of the tool. I was going to give this light four stars, but after using it a bit more and figuring out how best to use it in different situations, it would be dishonest of me to give it anything less than five stars. For what I use it for, it is perfect, and I couldn’t ask for anything better. It works as a desk lamp, a flashlight, and it is easily manipulated to use in almost any situation. I’m tempted to buy an extra one for travel use.

I bought it because i needed a light for doing a lot of DIY work. But akso became useful to use with exta Ridgid batteries i have. Goosneck could be a little stiffer. I use one at my bed side every night pointed upwards to the cieling and light up my room diecient enough to see. Last me about 20 to 25 hours and have to charge the battery after 4 to 5 days use. I now have one for each room of my house for power outages. Have had to use several times already for power outages. I use it in my truck camping or boondoking. Very useful light i recomend

Exactly what I needed and expected. Flexible neck with bright light. I have only used the flood light side and it is great. With a 3 ah battery attached, the unit will stand on it’s own if you don’t extend the neck too far over the base. I keep this light handy in the shop and grab it often to help light up tasks everywhere. Very convenient and easy to use!
