Wasn’t exactly sure how much I would use this light but somehow I had to have it. My first chance to use it was in an attic and I flopped it on a truss and it worked flawlessly lighting up a large area allowing both my hands free to get to work. Found this on the clearance shelf for $33.00 ( normally $99.00). Figured I couldn’t go wrong as I love my Ridgid tools especially with the LSA feature. Great light with a multitude of possibilities. Don’t know that I would pay $99.00 for it but at $33.00, it was a no brainer.

The batteries are lifetime warranty, some reviews say that they don’t but the warranty that I received Does say lifetime warranty on the batteries. I went to the HD in my area and the sales rep from Ridged was there and he also mentioned that the batteries do come with lifetime warranties.

Works very well, the only let down I had was I hoped the built in magnets would be strong enough to hold the blanket to the underside of a hood. It did light the engine bay very good when I stood it up.

This light is amazing!!! I’ve had it for just under a month and whether I’m on the job or in the cabinet shop, it is exceptionally functional! I never knew how attached I would be to this light until I started using it. It has become my go to light, way better than any other light on the market. It’s light, durable and very bright! I was even impressed with the battery clip it came with, being able to attach a usb cable to charge your phone is a huge plus! Its great to place on the base of a cabinet while installing hinges, hang on the wall while painting or even put on the floor when sanding a unit. The light has three different brightness modes, I prefer the brightest. For someone who builds and finishes cabinets, this light is great to see imperfections up close. It also rolls up into a small roll with Velcro and packs into tight spaces for transportation. I can see myself getting another in the future, no complaints so far!

The magnets in the corners could be a lot stronger , the light is pretty bright but the magnets will not hold the light up with the weight of the battery pack hanging . Big deal because you don’t always have something to set your battery pack on , so therefore you would depend on the magnets holdi

Just received this light today. I wish I could leave two different reviews, one for the light and one for the power source/batter adapter.I really like the light. It is really going to be great for working on things up close or in a tight space because the bright light cast is very diffused and the profile is so thin and flexible. It seems well made and I just hope that if it ever fails I will have no issues getting service through the LSA. I have many tools registered, but have not yet needed the service. As for durability, the most likely failure points I see are the permanently attached cord or the internal wiring that will be bent back and forth as it is rolled and unrolled for the umpteenth time.On to what I dislike… the power source’s USB port is only rated for 1 amp. That’s 5 watts, which is a fairly slow USB charger by today’s standards. My other RIDGID 18V USB power sources (purchased as standalone products and don’t have the additional round side port that this light requires) output 2.1 amps via USB, which is what I reasonably expected in this new product. I feel this really limits the benefit of the USB port in this case. The light is a solid performer and if it is only going to be used as a light or one doesn’t expect/need fast USB charging, then this won’t be an issue.

This may is a great source of light. Does run a 4 amp battery down in about 2 hours but works for the time that I need to use it. Will purchase a 9 amp battery for a longer run time. Other than that it will shed a lot of light in a nice size of area.

This is a great Idea for a light I am very impressed with it. The light can be rolled up with led panels out and put in the center of a room for full light with 3x power settings or it can be used as I did, under a car or other tight spaces to get a lot of light where you need it. I also said 2 tools in one because the 18v head has a U.S.B. plug so you can charge your phone or other device and the light will unplug from the charge head so you can have a portable charging station but leave the light at home. So 2 tools in one.

This is a very nice quality jacket even if it didn’t have the heat option. The fit is actually closer to American sizing which helps a lot to know since it seems a lot of stores don’t actually stock one to try on in store. I found it nice and warm, even to having to turn it down to low heat. The heat zones are a bit small but with it zipped up the heat spreads around pretty good. I recommend a thick shirt underneath so the heat zones have a chance to spread out inside. The pocket for the battery fits a 2.0 battery perfectly but will fit a 5.0… I didn’t see it being necessary to go bigger because the 2.0 lasted longer than I actually needed. I didn’t run a usb charging cord yet to charge my phone, but it has a nice internal zone to run one and keep it from tangling up with anything else, so very nice.

Ok… so wow, 1,500 lumens is really, really bright! I think this is going to be perfect for lots of different applications around my shop and home, but I will say I definitely don’t recommend staring directly at it when you first turn it on like I did! haha. My wife and I both let out a shout when we first turned it on in our darkened living room! I like that it has 3 settings (really intense, less intense, and not so intense) and I like that it is flexible and can be laid flat or placed standing up (like in photo below). I just used it in my attic to inspect some water damage and it was perfect for getting in awkward places. It can either be placed in the center of a work space to provide enough light to evenly see everything around you or placed right next to something for shining a bunch of light. I turned off all of the lights in my garage (no windows) and took 2 pictures below. The first is a picture is standing in front of the 18-volt LED Mat Light and the second is standing behind it to show you how much light it puts out in the garage. The only small complaint was that walking around an attic with tools, mat light, and battery all felt like a balancing act, but I will say that clipping the battery to the mat light helps it not feel as awkward when moving around.
