Portable Sun!!Not only is this new lighting unit versatile in many ways, it’s also SUPER bright! At times we do a lot of service work out of our RIDGID rolling tool systems. This baby rolls right up and is ready to shine when and where needed – very portable! I can see many other uses as well… hangs on wall, under car, wrap up high around column with no need for a tripod. Very nice, keep up the great work RIDGID!!

These lights are sort of a special gimmick – most construction probably will do better with traditional hard floods on tripods – but these are especially useful in situations where their soft, roll up design makes them easier to get into tight spots… in a crawl space, through a tight access port, etc. Off the job, I plan to use mine for motorcycle camping… Just the thing for tight packing, then lighting a remote campsite when you get in late and need to set up the tent after dark! Beats using the bike’s headlight!

Charges quickly, holds good charge for quite a while. The LEDs on this battery aid in knowing how much charge remains. I like this, and consider it an upgrade from my previous batteries without the LEDs built in.

Lifetime service is great if you jump through the hoops. I purchased my Ridgid drill 11-9-03. Back then you didn’t have to register it as long as you had the receipt. Over the years, have had it worked on twice and the batteries replaced 3 times. Just took it in for batteries and was told they would no longer honor the warranty because part of the serial number had worn off the drill. That was my fault for not writing it down anywhere before. Everyone please learn from this. Write your serial number down in a separate place. Also, they told me that when I receive the new batteries back for my other tools, I need to contact Ridgid and get them to update the new serial numbers on the new batteries or the Lifetime contract on the batteries wouldn’t be any good. All of my tools are Ridgid and am pleased so far with the lifetime service. Have got my money’s worth so am happy.

The light works great. The plastic end caps for the actual light covers keep coming off. The ends do not secure or snap in place.

YOU ARE NOW ABLE TO TAKE YOUR BATTERIES TO HOME DEPOT FOR AN EXCHANGE UNDER THE LSA. IF THEY DON’T HAVE YOUR REPLACEMENT IN STOCK, RIDGID WILL DROP SHIP A NEW ONE TO YOUR HOUSE!So I bought a drill with two batteries, one skinny & one fat (1,400mAh & 3,000 mAh, respectively). They both went bad after about two years of intermediate use, but that’s no surprise. I took them to the service center and waited 6 weeks for the new ones. I received a follow up call from Ridgid to ask if i was happy with the service center; I said sure, except I waited 6 weeks for them. The representative responded, we shipped your replacement batteries to the repair center 5 days after you dropped them off. In short, it took me calling the service center 5x before they found it.When I was ‘discussing’ the situation, the representative said Ridgid and HD now allow you to do the exchange IN THE STORE. just take it to the tool service / rentals desk and they will take care of you…no more waiting months to get your batteries back, making the LSA actually worth while!!!!

I go pretty hardcore with my Ridgid tools. I’m pretty much all work and all play with them. The light feature is great cuz with the push of a button I can tell when it’s time to change batteries instead of waiting for it to die while I’m hard at work. Definitely a great addition to your tool box and to your Ridgid tools.

Let there be Light, the new mat light is a great addition to my Rigid line up. The 1500 Lumens make it easy to see imperfections in walls as you do sheet rock work and paint. But my favorite thing I like about it is its versatility. Not only using it on the job were electricity is sometimes hard to come by, but working on my cars. As you can see from the picture it lights up the whole engine compartment, i can use the magnets, hang it or lay it on the ground. The coverage is amazing, now I don’t have to constantly move a flashlight all around. Great product, I would defiantly recommend it for all home owners and car enthusiast’s.
