RIDGID introduces the GEN5X 18-Volt Flood Light. This light comes with a light cradle to direct the light where its needed. It can also be removed from the cradle to direct light into tight spaces. It puts out a powerful 1200 Lumens. On its lowest setting it can run up to 20 hours on a single 5Ah battery charge.

I use this on rear windows when tinting. I’ve never had any light that’s brighter. I can clearly see where the tint needs to be cut for that perfect fit. Even with limo tint, you can see where that dot matrix starts.

This is a nice bright light and it is very rugged. I have dropped it several times to no ill effect. However, the on/off switch only takes a light touch and is in a location that makes it too easy to bump and accidentally turn on or off. Also, when you turn the light off, it doesn’t just go off, it gradually dims and then goes off. Ridgid spent time and money adding this stupid dim to off feature.
