RIDGID introduces the GEN5X 18-Volt Flood Light. This light comes with a light cradle to direct the light where its needed. It can also be removed from the cradle to direct light into tight spaces. It puts out a powerful 1200 Lumens. On its lowest setting it can run up to 20 hours on a single 5Ah battery charge.

Might be the best flood light I have ever owned. This thing is rediculously bright and has decent battery life. Feature rich with the ability to disconnect the light from the base for tight spaces, or hang from rafters or pipe with the stow away hooks. Another great tool from Ridgid.

I have been using the GEN5X 18-Volt Flood Light every night to go out and feed my horse. I have no lighting out at the corral or where I store my hay. It lights up the area brightly and does a better job then the bright lights in my ATV that I was using before I purchased the GEN5X 18-Volt Flood Light. Also most of the time i have been using this it has been anywhere between -20F to +10F degrees. I have been powering the light with a 4 Amp battery at about 15 minutes each night at these cold temps and get about 2 1/2 weeks of use before recharging the battery. I would say overall I am very pleased with the GEN5X 18-Volt Flood Light.

This light is very handy. I use it frequently on the job. It is small and will fit in many places, so working in a closet or under a cabinet works well. With the pivoting stand I can get just about any angle I need. It is small enough it will sit on many windowsills. The adjustable output is very nice because sometimes it is otherwise too bright for my needs. As a nice bonus it makes a great camping light and again the adjustable output makes it great for getting a night time snack without blinding the whole camp. My only minor complaint is the latch that holds it into the stand is not as strong as I would like. My hands are kind of small which makes it more difficult to pull the batteries out of my Ridgid tools especially the Octane batteries. Therefore sometimes I have pulled the light out of the stand while trying to pull the battery from the light. This did eventually break the tab that locks the light into place. I had it registered under the LSA, so I called to see how much trouble it would be to get it repaired. The entire process was easy and painless. This is the first time I have had a tool repaired under the LSA, so I was unsure of how it would go. I highly recommend it. I have had this light for a long time, but finally decided to review it because of the LSA.

This light is very user friendly it will point in any direction in the holder and can be removed from the holder and put into tight places like cabinet or under the sink. It is adjustable for brightness with a dial instead of pushing a button multiple times until you get what you want you can simply turn left or right and dial it in. The holder has multiple configurations to mount the light where you want it including 2 retractable metal rods that will let you hang it on a door or a 2×4 or a rope or wire and can be mounted on a tripod with a built in nut and it has a nice handel on the top of the holder its very comfortable and it will run for what seems like days but its probably not really. And the price is absolutely worth it (if you already have the other tools with 18v battery) I can see this being a great work light but also a great light for playing or emergency use as well.

This is a great LED flood light! I really like that is dimable. That means that I can crank it up to get plenty of light when I’m just lighting up a whole work area, but I can dim it down so that there’s not so much glare in my eyes when I need task lighting. I also like the threaded connector that allows me to mount it on a tri-pod and use it as an adjustable light stand. Great product!
