RIDGID introduces the GEN5X 18-Volt Flood Light. This light comes with a light cradle to direct the light where its needed. It can also be removed from the cradle to direct light into tight spaces. It puts out a powerful 1200 Lumens. On its lowest setting it can run up to 20 hours on a single 5Ah battery charge.

This flood light is a work hero. Let me explain, it should of been a much easier project to complete, but it ran late into the evening and dusk faded into nightfall. The job was completed, the Gen5X saved the night, as it were. The flood light showered the excavation with brightness, on the same battery that rip saw had just cut some lumber with, and worked as long as the crew did. See, the excavation was utility related, there was no power any where on the site, but the Gen5X was in the tool bag with the rest of the power tools.

This is a very handy little light. It comes on a cradle that allows the light to swivel to put the light directly where you need it. You can also release it from it’s cradle to get into those tight places. It has many mounting options for positioning or hanging. I use it a lot while I’m under the car working, I can put it exactly where I need it. It has a set screw so you can tighten it to stay in that position. The light is bright and is very durable, and it will also mount to my RIDGID light stand. Which is another great product.

Met my expectations! Very strong light and appreciate the fact I can dial it down to the level I want. My only concern is when sending in the warranty information on line, on some ridgid products it goes smooth and on some not. I have been turned down several times on this warranty and finally was told to send it in by mail. Have not heard back yet.
