This is a very good jigsaw. Easy blade removal too. I have many Ridgid tools and they are normally a bit heavier than other cordless tools. The jigsaw seems to be lighter and more balanced than the average Ridgid Cordless selection.

I would have awarded 5 stars except the blower function was not powerful enough to clear debris from the sight line of my cut. I was cutting composite decking so the debris may be heavier than normal sawdust but for my purposes the blower was a serious disappointment.

Got this tool after watching an instructional video where it was being used. I am very impressed. After having several corded jigsaws, this is my first encounter with a cordless model. I honestly believe that it is more powerful than the corded models I have used. It’s not overly weighty, and is easy to manipulate. 4 stars instead of 5 because it doesn’t come with any type of blade.

I bought my last jigsaw over 40 years ago. It finally gave up. I bought this new rigid jigsaw to cut around the railing posts on a 3500 square-foot deck I am rebuilding. What a difference 40 years makes. This jigsaw is very quiet. With the adjustable oscillating blade it is easy to cut through a variety of materials with ease. I have done quite a bit but have yet to charge the 4 mA battery that came with it. I recommend this tool.
