My primary concern was batter life and I have to admit that this was not a problem at all. Using 2 year old batteries – I was able to sand around an hour per charge. I’m sure there still are many reasons to get a corded sander but I didn’t need any more torque/orbitat movement or length of project time. The dust guard worked as expected. This product excels when sanding vertical surfaces or at angles that put the operator at odd ergonomic angles. It’s why I went cordless. I’ve been using this product for about a month on 1-2 hour projects 3 times a week with batteries that were purchased with my Ridgid drills.

This tool is a no brainer for the features you get at the price point. Youre getting a reciprocating saw with an adjustable toe and orbital action for half the price of the super sawzall from Milwaukee which is the only one with the orbital action from team red As for team yellow they are behind the times and dont offer a reciprocating saw with orbital action at all. The only one that comes close is the XTR from Kobalt as far as features and price but Rigid has them beat with their LSA. Do not hesitate to buy this tool.

The Orbital Sander exceeded my expectations. The dust collection while not perfect, it removed a majority of the saw dust. I’m highly satisfied with the overall performance of Rigid Products and the Orbital Sander falls in line with all of the other products.

I didn’t want to give a review until I put a bit of work in with these tools. By now I’ve had the chance to use all the tools in the kit and I must say they work very well. They feel well in the hand, provide lots of power. Now, keep in mind, some of these tools won’t replace a corded versions power like the skillsaw or multi tool but man, its some nice to have them being portable. Some of the tools will eat up batteries so make sure you have some extra on hand as well as your charger. This is to be expected for the larger tools that are being used hard like the skill saw, reciprocating saw and multitool. All in all, a very nice kit that I have already expanded on with the Jigsaw and Brad nailer. Love these tools and you will as well.
