After having used these tools a couple times I am happy with the performance in general. My only complaint is when I grab the drill or driver I often hit the direction buttons switching direction or going to lock. My hands are medium sized and I am not wearing gloves.I ordered the tools online and didn’t see how they felt in my hands before buying. My friend has a compact Dewalt driver and I think it has a better grip and button location. I don’t hit the direction button when I pick it up.

Registering for the warranty can be complicated. The tool itself is fantastic and works great, however registering it for the lifetime warranty can be complicated. I purchased this product online and was paid through PayPal. The receipt from PayPal was not acceptable to Ridgid Tools so I ended up having to call them. They were able to complete the warranty registration for me by phone.

For the price you pay for the sub compact they at lease give a better charger instead of a cheap one. When I bought my orginal impact and drill 18v they gave a better charger then the new sub compact charger

Gave it 4 stars because I haven’t had the chance to really put them to work yet. They seem well built though. There is a hesitation between trigger pull and when the motor starts on all the subcompact tools I’ve used so far. Just have to get used to that. Wish the impact driver had different power settings, it is only adjustable by your trigger control. I love how light they are. Makes for easy work especially in tight spaces.

Surprisingly lightweight and well balanced tool that is quite powerful. Subcompact size has come in handy in tight spaces. Even the 2 Ah batteries last quite sometime with the brushless motor. And the warranty (including parts & battery) if true will be difficult to beat! I am quite happy and recommend this product.
