Don’t choose between wet or dry filtration in your vacuum. RIDGIDs premium dust and debris bags not only capture dry debris and fine particles but also hold debris inside of the bag for easy disposal. Liquids will pass through the bag over time. Works in WET conditions too. I have long used bags in my shop vacuum. Not always, when I’m vacuuming large debris,, I feel that a bag isn’t necessary. I’ve never seen bags that were both wet and dry. I’ve tried to show the bag up close to let you see that it is NOT made of paper like traditional bags. WARNING: Don’t leave this bag in your vacuum after using it during wet conditions. If you do, it will STINK!!

In my defence it has been three years since we purchaesd our wet/dry vac, and three years since we needed to use it. I remembered it being bigger. six to eight times bigger.. The bags are too big for me but IwI will speak to what I know. The “RIDGID Premium Size A Wet or Dry Dust and Debris Bags for Select 12 Gal. to 16 Gal. Wet/Dry Shop Vacuums (2-Pack), White” are thick and sturdy. They are about 2ft by 3ft in my estimation, (which I know is not saying much.) There are two in a box, and if you do not wan’t to store the bulky awkward box just pull out the bags, the instructions are printed on the bags as well as the box.

Easy to install, just slip them over the vacuum inlet pipe on the side of the vacuum. Push them down to leave room for the filter, and then you’re set!I did a quick test and took a picture of my filter before using the bag. I have a vortex to prevent most of the big shavings and chips from getting to my vacuum, but the fine dust definitely still does. I took a picture of the filter before using the bag.I used compressed air to clean out the filter. Then I used the vacuum with the bag installed and there was a big difference between with the bag and without. (Note, far from a scientific study, your results may vary …)Overall, it worked well, and didn’t seem to reduce the suction.

I am reviewing the Rigid premium size A wet or dry dust and debris bags for select 12 to 16 gallon wet/dry vacuums. Box contains 2 filters. These filters are extremely high quality and are rated to handle wet items and under high humidity. This will handle both wet and dry materials at the same time and any liquid your vac sucks up will over time with pass through the bag. This makes disposal much easier.Another benefit is that when you do vacuum wet items, the water will leak out and the vacuum itself will remain clean sense the water is filtered clean. The material almost feels like clothThe dimensions are 22 inches tall and 36 inches wide. They are designed to wrap around the inside of your canister style vacuum cleaner. The capacity is 12 – 16 gallons. The opening is around 2 1/2 inches.Rigid does recommend that you limit the amount of liquid in your vacuum to 3 gallonsWe recommend this top of the line bagSee my pictures attached.

This is a 2 pack of bags. I have a 14 gallon Rigid shop vac and they fit inside without issue. I did have an installation concern for my Rigid NXT; the instructions show going over the rib of the inlet ring, however, my NXT doesn’t have a complete tube. It has a 90 degree scoop to direct debris away from the center mount filter. I did a test fit and the gasket on the bag griped the scoop perfectly. In fact, pulling the bag off took some effort so I am confident it will stay on even when the Rigid dust bag begins to fill up.The bag construction is impressive; not paper like other type. It is some type synthetic material. I believe as Ridgid claims; that it will work for wet clean-up but I would toss the bag afterwards. My application is for dust clean-up; saw dust and sheetrock. Both of these “load up” my typical pleat cartridge. I hope the bag will be a longer lasting solution where I can have more runtime between filter cleanings/changes. I also like the flap seal to seal the bag when removing to throw away eliminating the dirt and dust an escape route. In test so far I have been very impressed. With the bag installed there is no measurable loss of suction power. It will take a while to fill the bag but I will definitely get these again!

RIDGID PREMIUM SIZE A WET OR DRY DUST AND DEBRIS BAGS FOR SELECT 12 GAL. TO 16 GAL. WET/DRY SHOP VACUUMS. Dust and debris bags are a must in the construction industry. Not only do they contain dirt and mess they will extend they life of your main filter. I primarily use the bags for dry only but I can see that if the time comes that I need wet debris containment this will do the job.

I received my Ridgid size A wet or dry dust or debris bags today; these are Premium wet or dry bags that will fit 12 to 16-gallon Ridgid shop vacuums. These bags are made from a premium cloth and appear to be exceptionally durable. I have already used these wet/dry bags to vacuum up oily chips from milling out a block of aluminum, so far so good.Overall, these bags work great to keep your vacuum clean and make emptying your vacuum fast.

Heavy duty construction with plenty of room for the biggest messes. These wet or dry bags are made of high quality quilted material that breathes very easily. No need to worry about excessive power loss on your shop vac because of this filter bag.It has nice features too. I like the adhesive seal flap to cover the inlet hole when you remove a full bag. No more “comet tails” of dust as you transfer the bag to the trash can. I also like the welded seams. The welds mean that you don’t have to worry about glued seams failing with a bag full of wet debris.

I love these things. They are so useful and make using a wet dry vacuum much more enjoyable. For one they filter out much more dust than just the filter does so when you’re sanding wood or doing drywall and have very fine dust this catches almost all of it. And they’re huge. I am just a DIYer and am usually just working on things on the weekends. One of these bags will last me 7-9 months. One problem I did run into with older versions of the bags is when they got wet they fell apart. But these new ones seem to be heavier duty and look like they’ll handle getting wet just fine.

I got these because I have a lot of allergies and when using a wet/dry vacuum the dust that they produce really gets me going. I was quite surprised when I opened the box to see how thick the bags were. They were almost like some kind of fine cloth bag, not the cheap ones you can get.I used one bag to vacuum my entire pole barn of all the summer dust and debris without one sniffle. A very ingenious addition to these bags is the tape seal used to keep everything inside when done using it,, peel and stick. These bags can be used in wet and dry but I only have used them to vacuum up dry materials. I am sure with the quality of these bags wet would not be an issue.

I bought these because my shop vac gets very stinky inside, and emptying the chamber is a big dusty mess. I like that this is made from thick material that you can use on wet or dry messes. It fits on the intake tube with a rubberized feature similar to my kirby vacuum bags. I am so disappointed that it did not fit my model of Ridgid. Mine does not have an extended intake tube that is needed to attach the vacuum bags. I would highly recommend these, though, to people who have the proper model of shop vac because it alleviates a lot of mess involved with emptying them.

These bags provide the convenience of being able to pick up wet debris as well as dry. Wet debris would cause normal paper bags to fall apart. When you pick up really wet debris the water eventually passes through the bag. One little thing that I really like is the little flap that allows you to seal the bag (see picture) after removal so you don’t have to worry about dust escaping. Note that it is best to dispose of the bag after picking up wet materials and not let it sit in the vacuum. So wet use will cause you to use more bags but you avoid the mess of dealing with wet debris inside your vacuum. Also, using this type of bag keeps you from ruining the vacuum filter with water. If it gets wet at all, just let it air dry.

In all my years doing projects I never thought using these extra filter bags was worth the money but about 2 years ago I sprung for a package of bags and have used them ever since. They stop so much more dust and dander beyond the main filter and also keep the inside of the vacuum clean not to mention the convenience of just throwing them away. They also save the life of the main filter and hardly ever having to replace the main filter which is not cheap. These bags are good for dry and wet debris which makes it even better. I don’t think I will ever use my shop vac again without one of these filter bags!

These filter bags are great if you want to reduce the effort of emptying your shop vac. Without the bags you need to dump the contents of the vac into a trash can and inevitably there will be dust all over the place. Unhealthy to breathe and dirty at best. Some items will stick to the vac and require a little persuasion to remove. The other thing is that I typically have to thoroughly clean my filters without the bags if I don’t want to install a brand new filter. The bags makes this process so much easier. You just remove the bag and dump it after covering the hole per instructions. No need to clean the filter or the vac. So you save time and save the cost of more frequent filter replacements.Just a side note that my German Shepherd sheds like crazy. Hair everywhere. Love my Rigid Shop Vac. Yes we brush him regularly, but he has an amazing capability to shed. I wish I had all the hair he has shed over the years.

I very recently purchased a new Ridgid wet/dry vac, plus these optional bags. After a couple uses, they seem to work very well. I felt it was worth the extra $5 cost over standard bags as they are supposed to effectively capture fine dust, work with small amounts of liquid cleanup, and extend the life of the vac filter. I considered using the vac “bagless”, but appreciate the convenience of less frequent filter cleaning or replacement, and I’ll likely use only one or two bags a year for my modest needs.

These bags are great. I use my shop vac almost daily and almost always for dry. For anything wet I would take off the debris bag, use the wet vac, empty it out, let it dry, put a bag back on – not real efficient. With these bags, because they hold up to some water/moisture without falling apart like a regular paper bag I can go ahead and suck up wet debris or small spills and know that if it’s not too much, it will just dry and the bag will be fine. Of course, if you are using it on a big wet mess you’d want to change it out right away.
