The RIDGID OSHA compatible kit with HEPA-media filter and cyclonic pre-separator dust bags includes 1 RIDGID VF6000 5-layer allergen filter and 2 RIDGID VF3602 premium cyclonic dust bags. When installed together (in select RIDGID vacs listed below), this kit is OSHA Silica Table 1 Compatible for certain dry dust collector control methods and HEPA-filtered vacuum control methods (1926.1153) within the limitations of their airflow performance. Included dust bags allow for cyclonic airflow, resulting in pre-separation and more equal distribution of fine particles and debris throughout the bag. Dust bag disposal is clean and easy with sealing collar feature. Included VF6000 filter is made from HEPA media. Compatible vacs listed below.
- HEPA-level filtration is achieved when the VF6000 HEPA media filter and VF3602 cyclonic dust bag are installed together in select RIDGID 12 Gal. to 16 Gal. wet dry vacs
- Removes 99.97% of all particles 0.3 microns and larger from the air
- Kit is OSHA silica table 1 compatible when used with select RIDGID wet/dry vacs 12 Gal. to 16 Gal. and hand-held power saws for cutting fiber cement-board (with blade/wheel diameter of 4 in. or less) and handheld grinders for mortar removal (i.e. tuck-pointing) and uses other than mortal removal
- Select RIDGID 12 Gal. to 16 Gal. wet dry vacs include: HD1200, WD1270/WD12700, HD1400, WD1450, WD1451/WD14500, WD1481/WD14800, HD1600, WD1640, WD1641/WD16400, WD1680, WD1681/WD16800, HD1800, WD1850/WD18500, WD1851/WD18510, WD18511, WD1950/WD19500, WD1956/WD19560, 1200RV/1200RV0, 1400RV/1400RV0, 1610RV/1610RV0, 1620RV/1620RV0
- Dust bag disposal is clean and easy with its sealing collar
- Kit includes 2 RIDGID premium cyclonic dust bags (VF3602) and 1 RIDGID 5-layer allergen filter (VF6000) made with HEPA media
- For OSHA silica table 1 compatibility, employer/user must confirm that the airflow requirements as specified by the tool manufacturer are satisfied by the airflow rate from the RIDGID vacuum, all select vacs provide a minimum of 100 CFM
- For OSHA silica table 1 compatibility, employer/user must check the grinding wheel diameter when selecting a RIDGID wet/dry vac to ensure 25 CFM per inch of wheel diameter criteria is met

I use this in conjunction with a dust collector that I built and it works like magic. No debris even enters the vacuum. It all collects in the dust collector. The house is free of particulate!

Contained drywall dust without a mess just pulled out bag and put in dumpster

This so-called kit contains more material than is required for this particular vacuum. Only the cartridge filter was needed, but, this kit was the only product on the floor, therefore, am stuck with two extra canister filter bags that can’t be used.

For the price this is a great deal. Two bags and a filter cartridge. They install just like any other bag and cartridge. The bag has a sliding door on the opening to keep the dust in it so you need to make sure it’s open when you install it. There does not seem to be any performance difference between this and other bags and cartridges that I have used in wet/dry vac when new. Time will tell how if this clogs quicker or lasts . I am not really sure that cyclonic filtration listed in product description is really true or accurate. Nice to know that these filter well but I don’t think If these last as long as the other drywall dust filters and bags then I think this is the way to go.

Dust has long been recognised and acknowledged as a danger to health and now huge improvements to filtration methods and materials are seriously reducing risks to operators and their health. This kit comprises one 5-layer allergen filter and 2 premium cyclonic dust bags. Used together they are good enough to remove 99.97% of all 0.3 micron particles, and larger, from the air. The kit is compatible with many Ridgid Wet/Dry vacuums – check the specifications or the box for a complete list. The kit is quick and easy to install taking less than 90 seconds – see video. After unlocking the top part of the vac’ and turning it over; pull the old filter out carefully to avoid redistributing all the attached dust and set aside. Push the new filter into place making sure it is properly seated. Then fit the bag over the dust inlet. I find pushing the cardboard and rubber seal beyond the seating position and then bringing it back to line up between the ridges helps to prevent strain on the seal. Carefully tuck the remainder of the bag in and replace the top, locking it down and the job is complete!

Excellent product we use these kits religiously. Not to comply with osha but to extend the vacuum bag life and keep suction. Little spendy.

If you are sensitive to dust, this is a great solution for your shop vac. Without this bag, my vacuum exhaust includes some dust – this system enables you to capture the particles in a bag then filter the exhaust through the filter. The filter seems tighter than the original one. So between the double filtration and the mesh, this seems to capture almost everything.

The filter is needed to replace an old one.

I have a Dust Deputy in front of my vacuum and one of these inside. I started using them when I was grinding concrete to put a new epoxy floor down. The dust deputy captured 3 or 4 5 gallon buckets of concrete dust and the first green bag picked up a bit and the inside of the almost new vacuum stayed clean through the whole process. Nice to have the air coming out of the vacuum absolutely clean and not have the filter in the middle clogged after the first use like with all the other filters I’ve ever tried. If you don’t put a Dust Deputy in front of it, it’s pretty expensive to replace but with that, the two included bags seems to last long enough that the $50/set is not unreasonable. And since the green pleated filter stays essentially brand new, you can sell the old one to a friend for a few dollars. I bought the first set for concrete, but will keep using them for the future because of how nice they are. And do not vacuum water with this filter. If you really need a wet vacuum, I’d suggest getting a second vacuum, installing the special foam wet filter and dedicating a vacuum for wet pickup. I tried to take this filter out, use it for wet and then put the filter back. While it should have worked perfectly, it didn’t. Somehow I didn’t get the bag in correctly and it leaked into the vacuum. The pleated filter worked as expected, but not what I wanted.Ira
