I recently bought a Rigid shop vac but I also needed a new vacuum for my home so I figured this attachment would turn my shop vac basically into a canister vac that I could use on my carpets. I was very pleased with this attachment considering it costs as much as my shop vac did. I was disappointed that the adapter was not included and of coarse I have a 1-7/8 inch hose so I had to go to the local store to pick one up. I haven’t had it very long so I can’t speak for its durability but it works very well on my carpets. I have a 4 gallon 5 hp vac that is rated around 107 CFU.

I am remodeling the living room and dining room. A lot of dust, dirt, sand and concrete grit to clean up. I purchased this in hope that it would clean the carpet. It has exceeded my expectations. I am using this with the Ridgid 14 gal shop vac. An outstanding pair. This beater bar cleaned up a lot of debris in the carpets keeping the wife happy that Im not destroying her vacuum. With good suction this bar beats any I have ever used.Very highly recommended

The “Review Title” tells the story. There is one problem and I am still working on it. There are no service parts for this item. That does not mean that it can not be serviced, its Home Depot and Ridgid do not have any information to get replacement parts!!! For a item like this it is only time until a belt or beater brush set will need service and for that you need the parts…One more comment: Your vacuum should have more than 100 CFM and that means about 5 HP or higher.

It’s quite expensive – costs as much as the Rigid vacuum itself – but it fits the machine and does what it’s advertised for. I wish the ‘rug beaters’ would be electrical.

ridgid beater bar attachment with ridgid 9 gallon 18v works very well on our carpet we upgraded to a hepa filter which so far is working wonders its rated at 82 cfm but it’s more like 108 to 117 cfm with 1 or 2 9ah batteries check out best cordless shop vaccum on YouTube its basically a ridgid vaccum video with vaccum stats thanks. also u can use any ridgid 18v battery with this vaccum
