This kit is a definite must if you plan on using the vac around the house. The metal wand has a 1.5″ diameter, which is much easier on the hands than the 1 7/8″ (or larger) hose that comes with all Rigid vacs. But without a doubt, the best piece, and the number one reason why I bought this, is the floor tool which has a swivel allowing the wand to bend down to a full 180 degrees to get underneath furniture.I do have two small gripes with this floor tool. 1) it is still not as good as some of the ones made by other manufacturers because even though it bends fully downward, you still have to hold it at an angle to the side and can’t go straight into under a piece of furniture 2) it would be nice if the head was a little larger (again, similar to other manufacturers where they have a full rectangular head the size of a phablet).

I am a huge fan of Rigid tools, so I was certainly surprised that this item broke with the first use. The buttons that pop through the holes to hold the metal wand parts together broke on the first day. The accessories were nice and seemed well made. I’m very disappointed that I have to return it.

Product made to fit all size hoses. I purchased the Ridgid shop vac with the latest largest hose. I have to use fittings to shrink my house to the house size on this kit, fittings do come with it, but they want to disconnect constantly. This is designed for the smaller ridgid shop vacs. It worked good, but is frustrating at times.

Got this because I needed the long rod to stand up while cleaning, but half the pieces will not connect to the long rod. The adaptor connections only work for some of the components, not all of them. So still crawling around on the floor when I need to use the smaller components.
