Now I have a great vaccuum that I can use. The original purchase of the vac included a cheap hose and nozzle. I also purchased the commercial hose for additional $40.00 and now I use this vac and LOVE it.

This is the best cleaning kit for any vacuum. I definitely recommend it. I was disappointed after I misplaced and old one and had to get another. Unfortunately, HD stopped carrying them in my 4 local stores so I had to resort to getting them online. It shipped quick. The attachments, especially the floor wand are the best you can buy. Even works great for vacuuming construction dust off of painted walls without marking them up.

I received a Ridgid HD9001 wet/dry vac with a 1-7/8 in hose from my mother-in-law as a Christmas gift to replace my 17 yr old, worn-out, craftsman vac. The craftsman came with a 2-1/2 in hose system, I didn’t know what to expect with the smaller hose and attachments. Unfortunately, one of the three extension wands that came with the Ridgid vac split apart the first time I connected it to the vac hose. Although I fixed it with Gorilla-brand duct tape, the plastic wands that come with the Ridgid vac are not as sturdy as the 2-1/2 in wands that came with the craftsman. Because my vac came only equipped with a small floor attachment and a medium sized wet-floor attachment, I decided to purchase a crevice tool and dusting brush to help with car cleaning. I came across this kit (which is priced slightly more than the vac itself) and liked the idea of a sturdy metal wand that came with the attachments, but many of the reviewers were disappointed that their 1-7/8 in attachments wouldn’t connect to the metal wand. Since I was unlikely to use the crevice tool or dusting brush with the wand, I didn’t think it would be a deal breaker. Besides, I wanted a larger floor attachment for cleaning up the garage floor after using my table and miter saws. While I was waiting for the kit to be delivered, I realized that I would be unable to use the floor attachments that came with the vac with the kit’s wand. However, I have discovered a way to connect 1-7/8 in tools and attachments to this wand using only one of the adapters included with the kit. Let me explain. The end of the wand that connects to the floor tool has a 1-3/8 in OD. I found that the 1-7/8 in to 2-1/2 in adapter, when reversed, will slide onto the wand (see pics). What’s interesting is that the push button lock prevents the adapter from sliding further up the wand. Since the adaptor is designed to allow use a 1-7/8 in attachment on a 2-1/2 in hose, my crevice tool, wet floor attachment, and my other 1-7/8 in tools will now attach to the wand! True, it’s only a friction fitting, so it may not stand up to heavy duty use. However, I’m a diy’er, not a contractor. Now I can use all of my attachments this sturdy metal wand, and I no longer need to worry whether the flimsy plastic extensions wands will fall apart during use.

Awesome and versatile set of attachments. The floor brush attachment works well on all surfaces and does a great job of picking up dog hair from low pile carpet. By purchasing this set along with my RIGID shop vac I have a super-affordable, whole-home vacuum that even picks up water!

They work very well, should be sold in the stores

Bought as a replacement for a set that final wore out. Very durable! Recommend putting a hose clamp on the hose-to-wand adaptor, it has a tendency to slip.

I purchased two of these because I was so impressed with the first one I ended up giving it to the laborers at work to use and cleaning up the building for startup. DeWalt makes a similar product for around the same price but the Ridgid model is so much better because the floor tool is a full 2.5″ wider (which is huge when you have a significant amount of floor to vacuum), the floor tool clips in the end and locks into place, swapping from the carpet brushes/hard floor/squeegee adapters is much easier, and most importantly, the DeWalt is some oddball diameter so it will not work with any other attachments other than the ones made by DeWalt. Like most Ridgid vacuum accessories, this one came with multiple diameter adapters for different sized attachments and hoses from 2.5″ down to 1.25″.As for the title of the review, the two stock extensions that come with every shop vacuum do not prevent anyone over 5′ from having to at least slightly bend over which after a few minutes starts to destroy my lower back. These extension wands are the perfect height (I’m 6′-0″) and the gooseneck is critical. If you use a shop vacuum even somewhat frequently this product is well worth the money. The durability seems to be adequate so far. The extension poles are metal so they are obviously stout but the floor tool is plastic. The different adapters for various surfaces actually lock in with two sliding buttons and after 6 months of constantly switching from the carpet brush to the hard floor, they are still very tight when locked. The only downside and it is a downside for every single shop vacuum on the market is that there’s nowhere to store these on the vacuum. I recently purchased the smart card by Ridgid and still there is nowhere for the extensions. I have literally scoured the internet looking for shop vacuum accessory holders that maybe retrofit or something and there is definitely a gap in the marketplace when it comes to something like that. because nobody makes one of these, I definitely wasn’t going to deduct a star for it.

This product is great I only wish that they would sell the replacement rubber for the floor squeegee and separately sell the head. Only reason I say this is I wax and strip floors this is a wonderful tool for that but the rubber and the heads wear out due to the strong stripping chemical and you have to buy a whole new kit every time . Wishing they would be able to have separate orders for that purpose because I love how it works!!

This is so dang helpful for diy drywall. Short of spending hundreds of dollars for a hepavac, this attachment package made my attempt at level 5 finish a success. Every complaint about the adaptor to standard vacuum hoses is dead on. Bring duct tape. I hope I can find replacement pieces for the interchangeable floor tool. If not, a second purchase isn’t too unreasonable considering I’d get a second set of steel tubes…Legit. Thank you

I bought this item and have been extremely impressed with its ability to get and job done!!!It works great on indoor/outdoor carpeting. It does wonders on tile flooring as compared to the cheap plastic squeegee the comes with most shop vacuums

For use in our carpentry shop we purchased this kit along with the flexible hose kit to replace the stock hose and wand which came with the original vacuum cleaner purchase. Both items improve the performance and ease of use of the tool considerably – expensive but worthwhile.

This is the greatest thing since sliced bread when it stays together! But after it detaches a half dozen times from the hose.. Well, you will want to pull your hair out! It’s an easy fix, I just tape mine where the hose meets the wand, or use a large hose clamp. I wanted to write this review to point that out in hopes of a fix. I do use the upgraded orange hose made by Ridgid as well, so I cannot speak to the black hose having the same issue, or not. Outside of that, it is a durable and handy kit to have. I use it all the time at work in the commercial construction industry, so it’s definitely been put through it’s paces. Multiple inserts make transitions from hard to carpeted floors a simple 20 second process. Overall, I’d recommend this kit to anyone buying a shop vacuum. You will find a use for it, trust me!

This heavy duty cleaning kit has steel wands instead of plastic. However, many of the attachments are made of plastic. I think they will stand up to hard use, but I don’t think they’ll take abuse.

Bought this kit a few weeks ago. This is definitely better than the attachments that originally came with the vaccum.I like how the carpet/floor/squeegee pieces are interchangeable from the same base unit. This kit seems like it would also be good for car cleaning – although I haven’t tested it yet.Pieces are made in different countries. Some have a made in Italy label. Others made in China.I am a personal consumer. Not sure how it would hold up for for commercial use. But seems sturdy/decent enough for extended use.

The crevice tool and metal extensions was wat I really wanted and it was just a better deal to get the bundle instead of paying for them separately
