Love this wet/dry vac. Only issue is that both hard rubber wheels cracked, crumbled, and broke off immediately after setting it up.

This vacuum is very handy. It wheels around easily and I like the way all the tools fit on board. If only the cord were another 10 feet longer it would be perfect.

Work good, just as expected. Be better if it incorporated the packout system.

Many things about this are awesome. It’s quieter than a normal shop vac. The onboard storage rules. It’s flat so you can put stuff on top of it for storage or transport. Super lightweight when empty. Here’s how to take it from four to 5 star:It doesn’t follow you around, and has a very wide footprint with the hose attached to the side, hard to get through doors without just picking it up, especially if you don’t want to mess up work you just did.Put four casters on it, like a suitcase. That way you could still tilt the unit and use the tall handle, and it would follow you around as you vac. My solution was to put it on a flat 4 wheeled dolly that I use for the cordless miter saw when we do floors. I would gladly pay extra for a retractable cord. Lastly, remember back in the day, you had that one friend with the really loose spiral phone cord, and it was really easy to use that phone? That would be sweet for this hose. It doesn’t like to expand, and when you get close to its 7ft max, wants to pull the vac over. A longer hose, an extra hose, or one that is a bit looser would help.Nice unit though, lots of positives.

This RIDGID 10 Gal. 5.0-Peak HP Pro Pack Plus Wet Dry Vac is as convenient as it is powerful. Everything you would need is stored somewhere on the vacuum. It is a little heavy and cumbersome but it does have wheels and a handle to make it easier to get around, it just would not be the best choice for going up and down stairs. The squared “toolbox” shape makes it fit nicely with other tools in the back of the truck. Overall, an awesome vacuum.

RIDGID 10 Gal. 5.0-Peak HP Pro Pack Plus Wet Dry VacThis is a great wet dry vac. It has a collapsible pull handle, wheels, large capacity 10 gallon tank, a 5hp motor and a lifetime warranty. The vac comes mostly assembled, follow the directions in the owners manual to assemble the collapsible pull handle to the bracket, then the axle and wheels to the bracket and finally attach the bracket to the vac with the provided screws. The only tricky part is using a hammer to tap the cap nuts on, seems like there could be a better method to hold the wheels on but it works. Once this is done the extension tubes can be stored between the vac and the handle, nicely thought out.Once assembled the vac is easy to move around, simply pull up the handle, tip it towards you and roll it to where you want to go. The wheels are sufficiently sized to allow it to roll across most impediments with ease. If you need to move the vac over an area that it can not be rolled it has a very large and comfortable handle on the top that allows you to pick it up and carry it. Once you get the vac where you want it open the lid on the built in storage area, remove the hose and attach it to the side of the vac, The hose is a super flex hose and easily expands from about 2’ to 7’. Next pull the electrical cord from the same storage area and plug it in. The crevice tool is also stored in the same area. A dusting brush and utility nozzle are stored in the other storage area. The power button is huge and positioned at an angle on the front edge making it really easy to access and turn on/off. This vac is also quieter than my previous shop vac. The vac comes with a “Qwik Lock” filter that should be removed if you are going to be using it for liquids. It has plenty of suction for most any job and if you have used it to suck up liquids there is a handy drain built into the front. There is an optional attachment that allows a hose to be connected to the drain. Under the lid of the right hand storage area there is a port that can be used to turn the vac into a blower.I have always loved Ridgid tools. I believe them to be extremely well built and of the highest quality so maybe my expectations were a bit high for a wet dry vac. There is so much to love about this vacuum that I almost feel guilty pointing out what I believe are a couple of short comings. First are the doors covering the storage areas, these doors only open 90 degrees making it difficult to see and access the items stored in them, it would have been beneficial if the doors opened 180 degrees. The vac comes with a generous 20ft power cord that is to be stored in the storage area but there is no method to quickly or neatly wrap and store it. The hose attaches to the side of the vac, with the hose attached the vac is very wide and maneuvering it around can be challenging, it might have been better to place the attachment in the front.Even with these observations I think this is an excellent vac.ProsVersatileEasy to maneuverNot too noisyLifetime warrantyConsStorage doors

Ordered this to replace an old shop vac I had and couldn’t be happier. Was very impressed with how organized it keeps all the components and accessories which makes it easy to store and put away when not in use. My wife used it to clean her vehicle and really liked it as well, easy to move around with the wheels and the handles. Would definitely recommend this to anyone looking to upgrade from their first or beginner shop vac. Got it on sale and was definitely worth the price, even at regular price you won’t be disappionted.

Whoever designed this thing deserves an award. First it is rectangular so it fits on a shelf or under a cabinet with less wasted space than a round one. Second it has two compartments to keep the cord, hose and various tips. Third is the awesome collapsible handle that works like rolling luggage and has a holder for the two hose extensions. If that weren’t enough it has plenty of power and a large easy to use switch. My last one had that rubber cover and it was difficult to get it to stay on, now it is in the garage sale pile. If you are using it for liquid it also has a drain plug.

now make a radio that fits the system! 🙂 just had a conversation about portable vacuums and the crux being the specialty filters, this eliminates that issue – a compact and super portable vacuum that carts your tools too. God bless the engineers that got this through.

I think the best feature about this vac is the retractable handle and how easy it is to maneuver. When the vac is filled, all I have to do is lift the handle and roll it to where I need to dump the water. The machine itself is pretty powerful. Grabs the liquid pretty well and the long hose is a nice touch. Another great feature is the top where I can store all the attachments, so I’ll never lose a piece.

Got this yesterday. Took about 15 minutes to unpack and get wheels and handle on and wheels. We turned it on and sucked up some saw dust. I put it on the carpet and it was pulling carpet up from floor. I have a very good home vacuum and it does not have that kind of power at all.The suction is awesome. All tools store on board very cleverly and out of the way. The handle makes you feel like you are pulling a suitcase on wheels. It has weight to it so you know it is well made and built to last. The design is very well thought out and fits easily under my work bench in my shed. I did order the heavier duty dry filter, 2 dust bags that bypass the filter and a wet filter. That way this vac and I will be ready for anything that comes….or floats….our way. Keeping the filters clean will give this hard working vac many years of use. I am actually proud to own it.

Great design – very compact, ALL attachments are stored on/in the unit. Super good draw, very quiet. The handle / wheel combo is a nice touch. I use it primarily with my track saw – I got another 10′ hose so I can cut down full sheets. Super convenient vac.

I confess I only had it for a day. It’s nice, really nice! Very well designed. Tools store inside and unlike another Rigid vac I have with a large rather stiff hose, the one that comes with this vac is nicely flexible. The reason I didn’t keep it is that it is really big. Having never seen one in person, only in the picture seen above, the scale is a little hard to catch. Watch the video on this page to get more of an idea. I was sort of thinking very big tackle box size but instead it’s more like a large suitcase size. Note to self: Slow down and read the details. Tools and hose and dirt have to go somewhere….The fact that it is box shape and self contained is awesome, and if I was a pro driving around with it in my truck I’d say perfect! No rolling around, no tools getting lost. And it does hold a lot of water and debris.Maybe when I don’t live in a townhouse some day.
