This RIDGID 10 Gal. stainless steel wet/dry vac is designed to deliver high performance through its 6.0 peak HP motor that easily handles tough clean-up tasks. This stainless steel vac includes the first ever 2-1/2 locking accessories. All locking accessories (hoses, wands, and accessories) lock together, so nothing falls off in use. Add a top handle with a cord wrap, stainless steel drum construction and caster feet with accessory storage, and you have a wet/dry vac that meets the demands of Pros, DIYers and homeowners. It features the Patented Qwik Lock Filter Fastening System that makes installing or removing your filter quick, easy and secure. For general construction / remodeling work this is the best shop vac I have ever purchased. Our company has 4 of these and are phasing out other brands and models, replacing them with this 10 gallon rigid. During demo we have a tendency to destroy wet/dry vacs and this model has held up very well. 6 HP, Awesome10 gallon is the perfect size to move in and out of a house and your truck without it being cumbersome. No wet/dry vac has perfected accessory storage but this one does pretty good. Hey Home Depot / Rigid: I just tried to order another one of these and it is out of stock. Please do not discontinue this model.

Very impressed with this quality made, durable vacuum. Strong suction/ blowing. Attractive polished steel casing, great rollers. Light enough to tote around if needed. Nice, useful selection of attachments. Great for vacuuming cars, shops, or most any vacuuming need you may have. Best shop type vacuum I’ve ever owned. Well worth the price! Highly recommend. I’ve owned it for a month now and use often. Ordered online and picked up in store. I experience quick delivery and product was in great condition. I especially like the on/off switch on top with the red “on” indicator. Makes it easy to spot the switch when turning on or off.

This is the second of this model vacuum I’ve purchased since I was very satisfied with the first one purchased about 2-3 years ago. I bought the second one to replace a many-years old very reliable but cumbersome Ridgid 16 gal vacuum which worked great for many years but I was tired of cleaning the filter since as an older model it did not have the option to use a vacuum bag. This new vacuum has great suction and the bag makes maintenance on these new stainless models a breeze. Odors in the filter (from dogs etc.) can be removed by soaking and washing the filters in an odor eliminating solution (e.g. Odor Mute or Nature;’s miracle) when you change the bag. I’ve seen complaints regarding use of the vacuum for wet pick-ups since some of the hardware is not stainless but I don’t use it for such applications. Regardless, if you do not clean and thoroughly dry (any metal) vacuum after wet pick-up it will cause rust and other problems–pretty obvious..

Unit does not have an adequate handle for vacuuming garage floors or basement floors. It’s very difficult to hold the hose while vacuuming floors. My old Sears shop vac had a nice handle on it for doing floors, rigid need to incorporate this with the new vac’s.

I know many will say “no it’s not, it’s just a vacuum”. But I really consider a well made product an investment if it’s something you’ll have for a very long time. This vacuum is way overkill for me, but think about this: for 30 dollars less, you get a very inferior product that a competition store sells. I am selling that one for 30 dollars on Kijiji because it’s not powerful enough. So I wanted something that is not too big (I wish this was was about 30 liters) but still powerful. Well when I tried this one I was blown away (little pun here) by the suction power of this Ridgid. Also the hose is twice as thick as my previous vacuum. I’m going to use this to even clean the carpets at home (see, investment here) as well as my garage, car and blow some leaves and debris away.

Exceeded my expectation. Replaced my old shop vac of same size and hp. Shop vac cu.ft./ min rated 145, the Ridgid rated 160. Ridgid definatly moves more air. A little more noisey but a better warranty.
