This vacuum met all my expectations.

I am using it to vacuum all the grime and spiderwebs in my garage. It is so much easier on the shoulders than sweeping. Plus it’s all in the container so I just dump it out. No more dust pan line!

I have long used the Ridgid shop vacs because their performance and power have always been great for me, I’ve tried the shop vacs from Lowe’s and I hate them. The reason I can’t give these vacs 4 or 5 stars is because the wheels are absolute junk!!!! The stupid little metal end caps to secure the big wheels never hold up! They soon after buying keep popping off and then my wheels are falling off all the time, which is my current dilemma and not the first time it’s happened. The small swivel wheels also never last, eventually they just drag along and won’t rotate making transporting annoying. I wish ridgid would make a far more durable way to secure the wheels as well as way better quality wheels even if it means the price going up a bit. At the very very least! I do not understand why I cant go to Home Depot and find replacement wheels or wheel parts like I can find replacement hoses and hose accessories, I don’t get it!! I travel across the country a lot from job to job, I don’t know if I can call and order more but time to wait for them to arrive is a luxury I don’t have

I really like this vac. However it was shipped with a bag instead of the advertised hepa filter. Bait and switch as far as I’m concerned. There are some design elements that could be better too.

My new Ridgid vacuum was my first tool by this manufacturer. All in all, I’m a DeWalt, Bosch or Makita guy, with Porter Cable and Festool sprinkled in for good measure. This vacuum was the nicest I’ve ever purchased, and I’ve owned a number of shop vacs. This suction is unrivaled, IMO. Smart engineering, with large wheels, respectful footprint, locking hoses, and the best on board tool storage I’ve seen. The bad: After only one month of intermittent hobbyist level usage, the motor starting smoking, big time. I placed an warranty claim 30 days ago, which was approved, but I’m still waiting for my replacement vac. What good is a lifetime warranty if you have to wait this long for service?

This is now the workhorse of my DIY dust management system. Bought a separate remote-switched outlet and I couldn’t be happier upgrading to this from my smaller HP shopvac.
