The RIDGID 5 Gal. Stor-N-Go Wet/Dry Vac is a unique and innovative vacuum design. It mounts directly onto the wall, which saves floor space and alleviates clutter in your work area or garage. It will easily detach from its wall bracket, making it portable. For added convenience, store the hoses, cord and accessories on the Stor-N-Go caddy, which also detaches from the vacuum drum. This vac also includes a LED lighted car nozzle and a premium auto cleaning detail kit with convenient tools for auto-detailing.

Machine works like a champ. Love almost everything about it. Only negative (just for me personally) is the longer of the 2 hoses is made of a hard plastic that is not near as flexible as the shorter one which is a softer material and flexes perfectly. My issue is the longer one was the only one I needed so it was a bummer for me. Oh well, at least I can still do the job I bought it for but just not as easily. For anyone else, this is a good machine.

I must say the price is too much for the underwhelming suction. I have had many rated 5HP vacuums and this just doesn’t cut it. I bought this for the ease it would provide by mounting on my cleaning cart for my cars but I can’t say I’m satisfied with the product. If you install the muffler, it only further reduces the airflow and suction. Don’t get me wrong, it does vacuum, but not at the suction of many other 5HP rated machines in the Rigid line. Don’t know what design issue makes this so, but just my working assessment after using it for a couple of months.

Arrived in good order, well packed, easy to assemble and adhere to my garage wall. The expandable hose doesn’t reach as far as I’d hoped, but with the additional hose makes car vacuuming easy. Suction is good and met my expectations. I would say even with the defuser it is loud, but expected and not as loud as the last rolling one I had. The wall mount provides the space needed on the floor. Would recommend.

This portable vacuum seems to have good pick-up power. I only have two draw backs. 1. the longer hose is too stiff, which makes it difficult to get around in a small shop. 2. the size of the hose doesn’t conform the other attachments, I had to buy an attachment kit in order to use of my older attachments and my shop setup.

If you have a nice place to wall mount this vacuum, it’s probably the best installation for a machine of this type. There’s got to be at least 2 dozen variants of the good old black and orange wet/dry vac by Ridgid. All work well and I own 4 different versions of it having done so many different types of work projects PLUS needing something to vacuum out my car every once in a while. The wall mount installation is clean and easy, though the bracket is a bit thin and can flex on you. I ended up mounting a plywood backer board screwed to the framing studs and screwing the ridgid wallmount to that. The vacuum handily slides into the wallmount with accessories as shown plus a couple of added nifty wallmounted hangers to keep things organized. The blower is as loud as the other 4 to 5 hp vacuum motors as you can expect. This unit, though compact, does take the full size filter as opposed to the 2/3 size filter.

It is nice that it mounts on a wall, and stores everything nicely. That is what I wanted. Not sure how long the hoses will last. The short hose is awesome. The long hose is kind of flimsy. They have a little clip that just feels like it will break easily. Time will tell. The “Lighted Car Nozzle” is not worth anything extra. Mine arrived pre-broke – the switch doesn’t work.
