The Rockwell BladeRunner X2 Portable Tabletop Saw is the solution to the problem of having to take materials back to the workshop to cut them, and then bring them back to the job site later on. If you’re a contractor, you know that that process can add an entire day to a project. The BladeRunner is only 15 lbs, so while stable and sturdy, it’s easy to toss in the back of the truck. And with a footprint of only 15.75” x 17”, it doesn’t take up an entire workbench like traditional table saws. The hold-down guard and splitter allow for work with wider materials, and a larger rip fence than other portable table saws provides better control and accurate cuts. A no-load speed of 3000/min, a stroke length of ¾”, with 5.5 amps of power gives it the capacity for light to moderate cutting of wood (up to 1-1/2”), ceramic tile (3/8”), PVC pipe (1-1/4”), aluminum (3/8”), and steel (1/8”). (Anything over 1-1/2” and you’re probably going to need a traditional, permanently fixed tabletop saw—but you can’t take that to the job site.) The blades change out almost instantly, in under 3 seconds once you get the hang of the tool-less blade change system. And the saw is protected by a Rockwell 3-year limited warranty, so you know they stand behind their tools.
- [SETS UP IN SECONDS] Take this table saw to the job site or move it around the workshop. There’s even a built-in carry handle
- [CUTS LIKE A FULL-SIZE] With the standard guard and riving knife system you can perform rip, cross, scroll, and miter cuts
- [TOOL-LESS BLADE CHANGE] Uses any brand’s standard 4” T-shank blade, but we threw 5 in the box to get you started cutting wood, ceramic tile, plastic, aluminum, and metal
- [0-60° MITER CUTS] With the adjustable gauge you can pull off precise miter cuts for a whole assortment of woodworking projects
- [ON-BOARD ACCESSORY STORAGE] When the miter gauge, rip fence, and extra blades aren’t in use they can be conveniently housed in the base of the saw
- [SAFETY SWITCH] Prevents accidental starting, plus the vacuum port lets you hook up a shop vac that cleans while you cut
- Safety switch with key prevents accidental start

I am an older woman and needed something easy to use. This fits the bill. It was very easy to put together and even easier to use.

The table is great#

I love this thing! I needed it to make both vertical and horizontal cuts on some laminate wall planks and it worked great. I have since used it in some crafting projects with the scroll saw blade and it did a great job with those, too! Because I don’t have a wood shop I love that it’s light weight and very portable so I can use it anywhere.

I like it. It has done everything I needed. I don’t have a scroll saw, I rounded off window molding with it. I’ve ripped 1xs ro make a sill then notched the sill to fit. It comes with 4 different blades for different materials. I’ve only used it on wood so far.

It is pretty easy to use. I wish you could cut items a little thicker than 1 1/2 inch, but it works for what I need.

I love this saw. The directions to assemble this were terrible.Once it was together I found it was really easy to control. I definitely recommend it for all the ladies out there who like building things. This tool is a must have.

It worked very well and straight. So it is a good small machine.

This is a nice portable tabletop saw, it does have it limitations but for what I am using it for it works very well. With the correct blade installed I am able to cut through the steel horse shoes I work with like butter. It also works very well with my wood projects. If you need a saw that can go with you and get the job done, this is a good deal. So far it has held up

as a professional luthier with a high demand for custom built guitars this saw is great.. with 2 table saws and a bandsaw I keep finding myself going to this saw first. the rips are outstanding and very accurate.. cutting out guitar bodies and headstocks are a real breeze.. my jigsaws are put away now that I have this saw. Rockwell outdid themselves with this one.. high quality, versatile, easy to use, and takes on any cut I need to make and it has cut my production time down by 35%.. I don’t know how I ever got along without this saw. I just cant say enough on how great this is.. I LOVE IT!

It cuts cleanly, and I appreciate the sturdy adjustable fence. The riving knife works rather well so you can make long rip cuts. Comes with a good basic selection of blades. It is noisy, so you definitely need ear protection. The shop-vac attachment helps reduce dust, though cutting is definitely not dust-free. Overall, though, a very useful shop tool for small work, and a great value.

Perfect tool for the small jobs. Ripping and cross-cutting trim and fillers is fast easy. It’s light weight and swapping out blades is quick and easy.

The saw was easy to assemble and works exactly as described. Cuts no problem on things up to a 2×4. For all it can do it’s a good investment as a hobbyist.

Reading the negative reviews here has me asking “Just what did you expect from a small (and lightweight) specialty tool like this?”. When used alongside other saws, this ‘jigsaw turned upside down in a table’ helps me out to no end with detail work……….when used with other tools. Scribing small parts to fit, throwing a radius to small trim elements, reproducing ‘one of’.. In a pinch I’ll use it for things it may be not designed for, but it keeps me from running for or needing to haul another tool for small quick tasks. In the end it’s a decent little tool that augments your other tool’s shortcomings (as they do to this) and will always own one.

This was actually a birthday present for my wife (she’s a tool gal and a hobbyist). We were both very impressed with the quality and ease of use. Basically open the box and start using it. It was extremely stable sitting on a small bench. Made several cuts on a piece of 1×6 and some small hardwood with no problem. Treat it like what it is, basically a benchtop jigsaw, and it should do fine. You can’t push it like it’s a circular table saw, because it’s not. We liked the quick change blade system and the rip fence and miter gauge seem adequate for small work. It’s a great tool for finish work, small household projects, and hobby/crafts. It it solidly built and seems to be high quality. Some of the bad reviews seem to be from people who are expecting a heavy-duty shop tool, and that is not what this is for.

Great all around tool for the do-it-yourself-er. I used it to cut a piece of metal for an automotive installation, then switched blades and used it to cut wood planks for a home project. Very portable, with a small footprint so it fits almost anywhere it’s needed. I would recommend this tool.

This is a very clever design. On the positive side, it’s very versatile in that it cuts various materials and can do both straight and curved cuts. It’s also light weight and very portable. On the negative side, it cuts much slower if you are ripping long pieces of wood.

I love the Rockwell for a beginner crafter. The only issue I found with it is trying to saw a piece of wood that is a longer than the machine itself.

Just purchased. Some trouble with set up and manual was only marginal for help. Once the Arm was set up and understood how it worked all was well. I had only little trouble installing blade. I suspect someone wrote the manual who is very familiar with the saw. Get someone who is not familiar with it to help you re write it. Otherwise the saw is great. Cuts anything you can throw at it within reason including metal and plastic pipes including aluminum with the right blades. Nice saw and I do recommend it highly

This saw works great for my purposes. I’m a novice do-it-yourselfer. I’ve used it to cut luan but the real test will be when I cut my ceramic tiles. The only improvement I could suggest is to have the measurements on the base easier to read. Other than that it’s been great.
