The Rockwell RW8923 Carbide Grit Rasp Blade is great for rasping wood; cutting hardened adhesives and thin set; and etching or rasping masonry. The coarse grinding and rasping makes it aggressive at material removal over larger areas.

Great attachment. I bought this to redo a stair banister that had been stained a dark mahogany and then painted over with white latex paint. This attachment went through both layers in no time. Made refinishing the banister too easy. Saved money by refinishing and not having to buy new.

Ordered 4 of these thinking I’d wear out at least a couple to complete the job. Hurricane Irma blew asphalt shingles at 162 mph into the east side of the house. The siding could be sanded but the stucco on the collums ate every grit of paper. This rasp easily removed every last bit of it, even in deep crevices. The shape gives you the ability to follow the pattern of an uneven surface so when you’re done you can’t see any telltale signs that anything was done. Ended up giving one to a friend and I still have the rest. Perfect!
