The Rockwell Sonic rafter RW8981K 6-piece end cut blade kit contains (2) RW8932 standard end cut blades; (2) RW8935 precision end cut blades; and (2) RW8929 bi-metal and wood end cut blades. I purchased the Universal Fit end-cut-blade set. They hold-up well, do NOT overheat (and lose their temper), and they CAN be filed with a small triangular file to keep the cutting-action going!

The main issue is they did not fit. An additional adapter was required for my Rockwell. I’m not sure if the was an older model and only made a short time. In fairness I’ve not found any blades that fit it without the adapter. I ordered these because they were specifically for Rockwell.

I learned the hard (expensive) way that the bi-metal blades not only won’t cut thru screws but the teeth quickly wear off (they are not supposed to be used on screws but supposedly work on nails). Bought these to replace the ones that came with my Sonicrafter to cut out the bottom of the 2×12 PT boards at the base of an exterior stairwell. They cut thru the wood with ease but chewed up both the wood & bi-metal bits hitting hidden screws. Replacement blades arrived fairly quickly.
