Not an identical replacement part and the washer is lighter gauge steel than the original one which I had to cut off to.get the stripped bolt out with channel locks. But.the new.one.does the job and since it more or less one piece there’s less fussing around.with loose parts.

I stripped out the old screw and ordered the replacement. Was a good price and can in the mail quickly. When I open the package though, it did not seem to be the same quality as the original. I put it on and it worked. Have not used it yet on a project but I trust it will work fine. The tool has always performed well. I think I just over tighten the screw.

It updated my older rockwell sonicrafter tool. The screw that came with the tool had a small screw and striped out easily. the new one is bigger and you can use a wrench on it. I would highly recommend this replacment.

Quite few reviews said that this replacement is lesser quality than original. Absolutely not as it is a big improvement. My original screw, which only had an allen key to tighten, has stripped. This replacement, yes lighter, but works much better than original as you can also use a flat wrench or allen key. The washer seems to be thinner from original but with out a doubt it does a better job. Original kept loosing itself all the time. No such issues with this replacement.

I had a little trouble tightening cutters and accessories to the Sonicrafter but this bolt with a larger hex key made a big difference. Great improvement.
