I have used this blade heavily in the past year. I find that it works well without too much effort to cut through wood and an occassional nail. If you don’t hold the wood or accidently smoosh (is that a word?) the wood together the blade/saw will slow down. I like that it isn’t too heavy to use and cut and would recommend this saw to woman with smaller hands. You do have to press the red button to turn on the saw and give it a second to get up to speed and then it cuts fine.

I bought a off brand 3 3/8 blade for very cheap, it worked, after I went thru a couple of blades not realizing I needed to turn it over. I didn’t realize it until I received the Rockwell blades which the teeth were orientated the other direction. I wondered why those blades didn’t really cut… hehehe… Anyway, I suspect they will work better now when I install them correctly… But back to this blade, it did wonders. I used it to channel thru 5/8 to a 1 1/2 inch plaster walls to put in conduit. This blade was exceptional in this endeavor. It also works well cutting wood up to 7/8 of a inch thick. It is a very good blade and holds up well. Yes if you have a Versacut Saw, and need a good blade, this is the best blade I have used so far and have owned this tool for several years.

This review is actually for the Versa-Cut w/ Laser. The fact that this saw is so lightweight and allows you to make simple, precise and effortless “one handed cuts” is a Godsend!! No need to cart out a plethora of clamps or set up rip fences (on smaller applications) or ask someone else to hold the piece while you cut. Great tool! Waiting on the cordless version for cutting in the field.

I bought this saw thinking that I might use it here and there with nothing specific in mind, but since it was so inexpensive, I thought it couldn’t hurt to have it. As it turns out, this is my single most useful demolition tool; it’s almost totally replaced my noisy, imprecise recip saw. I’ve cut through plastic, tile, and wood with ease. The saw never seems to falter, and best of all I can set the depth of the cut to the thickness of the material I’m cutting without worry about cutting into wires or plumbing. I take this saw to every job now.

I built two cabinets with a Versacut and this Rockwell Carbide Tipped Blade on a picnic table at our Yacht Club during the summer of 2015. The cabinets have numerous angles as nothing is ever square in a boat – so lots of cutting was involved. This little blade gave clean cuts whether ripping or cross-cutting veneer plys or solid red oak, jacoba, and teak lumber.

I’ve had my versa cut saw for over a year. I use it for everything. Most recently I used the saw for a bathroom remodel. Installed a 4′ x 5′ shower. I used the saw to cut all the framing and even the cement backer board for the shower. I only got another blade in case the first one was done. Even after the backer board was cut and installed I was still able to use the original blade.

Blade is exact replacement for original. Performs as expected. My only gripe is the cost. I realize that carbide blades cost more but it is irritating that one blade @ 3 3/8 “ would cost this much. Gave it 5 stars because it was shipped free to store, otherwise 4 for price.
