I purchased the Crosscut Sled along with the BladeRunner itself to give as a Christmas gift. I have not used it yet (although I plan to use it someday) but I have heard reports back from the reciepient that I have “knocked his sox off”. So, it looks like Mission Accomplished. Maybe he will get busy and finish his Eagle Scout award now. (No pressure, Jason … )

I just received my crosscut sled and once I put to use I wondered why I waited so long to buy it. I don’t own a table saw so I have been using my BladeRunner for all of my crosscuts. In the past I would typically use my my miter gauge for all of my cuts and as you might expect I would often need to re-cut the piece when my cut wasn’t straight. Not any more! The crosscut sled makes a perfectly straight cut EVERY time. Thank you Rockwell!

This attachment is absolutely needed for crosscutting with the Bladerunner. long cuts of wood need to be supported on both sides of the cut, although.

I will keep this short. I wrote a longer review of the blade runner mount that ties to this. This item is a must for the blade runner. It is truly amazing and I love it. I wish is was made out of a harder plastic and have a metal runner to make it stiffer in the miter slot. Lastly I wish you could use this item with the mount. Sadly this is not the case.

I like the crosscut sled. It allows me to make square ends and cut consistent lengths using the built in rulers or with a stop block. It would be cool if it had a storage spot built into the wall holder or saw itself.

Works fine for smaller pieces up to 1 “. Not so good on 2X4. But that’s to be expected its a smaller saw. some play in the piece so pay attention.

Good enough for most projects. The sled does not fit tight on the table but should cut within +/- 3 degree of a straight cut. Better than the adjustable miter gage that came with the saw.
