When I first saw this storage container, I thought it was glass because of how high quality it is. They’re not flimsy and they have a nice weight to them. They’re really nice containers when you dont want glass. Highly recommend!

I’m happy to see some more recent reviews related to the cracking. Shortly after I bought mine I found it very difficult to keep clean looking. No matter how I washed it and what I cleaned with (including vinegar) it seem to look smudged and definitely not “brilliant”. I do like the shape and lid for these containers. Just feeling concerned and less impressed about the look over time.

Brilliance plastic is a hard crystal clear plastic that looks like glass but isn’t heavy or breaks easily like glass. The lids have rubber seals for airtight and leak proof. It easily snaps on and off and has holes for venting. They stack neatly for easy storage. It is BPA free, microwave safe, freezer safe, & dishwasher safe on top rack. This is by far the best to-go container. I have to buy more because everyone prefers it over the regular containers. FYI, 3.2 cup size is what we use to pack lunch. Roomy enough if you eat less or just right if you eat a little more.

My diet conscious wife takes a single serving of uncooked egg whites to work every day for breakfast. I bought her one of these as I thought it would be ideal for transporting the liquid to work and cooking it in the microwave when she got there. When she brought it home after the first use and I pulled it out of her bag I was very pleased to see the container hadn’t leaked a drop. When I went to wash it up, however, I was really disappointed. During transporting it looked like the liquid bounced around a lot as small amounts of it found its way into every little nook and cranny in the lid. It even somehow found its way into the area under the lock lever pivots. Putting it in the microwave to cook the egg whites caused those small amounts in all those nooks and crannies to over-cook and adhere themselves to the plastic, especially under the inside edge of the gasket. What a mess and what a pain to clean. My wife will use it until it not longer retains liquid which, hopefully, will be enough time to source a better product. I’d recommend this for home use, but that’s it.

The plastic container is a great accompaniment to the glass. It’s a lighter design and so it is perfect for cold foods to take on the go. I love that the kids are interchangeable and click easily.

I started with a 10pc set a few month ago and have been very pleased. Since then, I have bought more pieces to complete the amount I’d like to have in the sizes I want. We find they’re great for left-overs and you can clearly see what is in each container. They stack nicely and efficiently in the fridge. I’ve used in the microwave to reheat with no problem (without the top of course). For the person that mentioned stacking issues in the cabinet, I’ve found that I like to store the sizes individually, bottoms stacked and I place the lids vertically in the top container – works fine if you have the space to stack that way with less fuss about retrieving the size you want to use. For Rubbermaid, I’d love to see a rectangular size larger than the 4.7 cup but smaller than the 9.6 cup. Thanks!

i bought the 10 piece set because it was rubbermaid and clear. I have had them aprox. 3 months, there is a bubbling on the large & both mediums, 1 small has some slight cracking. I really like the clear & square design. decided i would not use them in the micro so much and they would be ok. have not been able to find any other containers like them, I bought another 10 piece set a few weeks ago, did not open it until yesterday. it is missing 1 lockdown from the medium, and the store will not take back because i lost my receipt and i cannot find a replacement lockdown on line.

First off, I’m obsessed with containers. I have had this particular type in my own home for a long time now. They’re affordable, lightweight and non staining. I’ve had mine for over a year, stored all different types of left overs in them, and washed them at least 100xs in the dishwasher with no melting or warping. The clips are very durable and I’ve had no issues with breakage, and they’re leak proof. I can’t say enough good things about Rubbermaid!

it is plastic so let’s start with that. the one piece of advice I have is no super acidic foods and no queso. both will ruin the container, making it balloon resulting in a faulty seal. not as good as the glass container but still useful for fruits or veggies
