The drill bit did the job I bought it for. Saw wear after 4 holes drilled. The 1/4 bit held up better than the 3/8

Great price and worked flawlessly! 10 holes in 1/4 inch thick pressed glass bowels and still looks brand new. Used a drill press at approx. 700 rpm, 1/8 inch of water in the bowel, with light pressure and a 2-second peck- lift – peck – lift process, worked beautifully. Support the exit hole with a block of hard laminate or plastic or you will blow out the exit. Go slow ! Don’t forget to wrap towels around the work to catch the water when the drill exits the work. If you aren’t drilling bowels then you have to figure out your own water coolant system. Keep it simple. You can submerge the whole thing in water while drilling if you need to.

I was drilling through porcelain floor tiles for fixing bolts. There is obviously no pilot drill bit, so had to use a masonry drill to get positions correct and to get past the initial smooth tile finish. Once through this, drilling slowly and making sure the area was wet, the drill bit performed great. I only had 4 holes to form, so can’t judge how long the bit will last, but all 4 holes in one go with no issues. Biggest tips, drill slowly and keep area/drill bit set.
