I used this to drill a hole for a patio cover in a stone patio table. I don’t know the exact material but it was pretty hard stone. I set up a jig to hold the drill in the correct location and while running a low volume stream of water on the bit while drilling, it went right through without a problem. It probably took 5-10 minutes to get through about a 1″ piece of material with frequent washing out of grit.Did the job I bought it for. Sort of expensive to use on only job but paying someone else to do it would probably cost more.

Used this to cut a hole through a piece of 3/8″ slate. Worked perfectly while pouring water over the slate to keep things from overheating. Not sure how many holes it will cut before it wears out but worked great the one time I used it.
