I purchased this set mainly for the 5/16″ bit which appears to be an uncommon size. I needed it to install a hidden guide on a pocket door.The groove went the full 1″ depth of the bit. I did it in multiple passes to avoid overstressing the bit and that resulted in smooth edges and no noticeable chip out. I’m very pleased with the quality of these bits, especially considering that for a 5/16″ bit alone would have cost me nearly as much as this kit.I can’t speak to the longevity of these, but if you’re a hobbyist or only need them sparingly, they are great!
