Very nice and easy to assemble – I use a Ryobi router with mine, but can be used with almost any router! Very stable, and easy to use, and clean. Vacuum can be attached to the back to minimize dust

Details: I’m experienced with handheld routers but a “3-in-1” router guide kit I recently tried gave some results that made me look like a total klutz, so I decided to get a router table. Professional grade tables are too big for my space and quite expensive, so I tempered my expectations and bought the Ryobi table to go with my Ryobi R163G router, itself a serviceable – but not outstanding – tool.Assembly was simple and the table is reasonably sturdy but there were a few QC issues. It took some judicious filing and polishing of the hardware to make the fence adjustments work without binding. Shimming was needed to take out the considerable slop in the miter gage and correct misalignment of the MDF face of the outfeed fence. (The fence itself is plastic, as is the outfeed fence offset adjustment) There’s only one (plastic) featherboard supplied – two would be helpful. Adjusting the router mounting plate (plastic again) takes a little effort since it’s not perfectly flat. (Neither is the table top, for that matter.) The instructions call for installing a guard on the bottom of the table behind the router – the only discernable purpose of this guard is to obstruct access to the router when you want to change the bit. And the power cord is absurdly short at about 18 inches.

I have completed multiple tongue and groove projects with this table with alot of ease. Very easy to set up and the fence works really well for adjustments. Vacuum dust collection is great as well with only a shop vac hooked up to it. The only issue I have encountered is the mounting plate hardware does tend loosen over time causing the mounting plate to get thrown out of level, which is a bit frustrating when in the middle of a piece and your stock gets hung on the lip of the plate. With some minor adjustments and checking everything prior to starting a project this is a great table for the price. Not to mention, if you’re a Ryobi fan it looks great in the shop with all the other tools to match.

So obviously this setup isn’t designed for a production shop and I knew this when purchasing so I was not disappointed. For under $150 this is a steal especially for the table size. The included throat plates for different bits and the adjustability of the fence make are great. The included multi switch is great and has 2 outlets so you can run the router and a vacuum simultaneously. The throat plate has predrilled holes which didn’t fit my compact router but I was able to drill my own. I purchased this to be mobile for job site use and it was modular enough for me to change things around a bit. I mounted it to miter saw stand mounts and kept the legs aside. I also mounted the switch panel in a more user friendly location of the table. My only complaint (regardless of how you set yours up) is the plastic baseplate insert. Very flimsy, and has set screws to flush it with the table top but couldn’t get it to sit properly and will be switching the included plate out for an aluminum one. Other than that it’s a unbeatable value for a mobile set up, especially considering all the accessories it includes. Don’t expect to easily rabbit 2 miles of mahogany deck board through this, but know that it’s a gray addition for small projects in lieu of routing by hand.

Nice table for the money. Easy assembly. Miter slide could be better made.

Compared to other options on the market, this was a no brainer for the size table you get. It feels sturdy, and is light enough to move easily for transport (if needed). I don’t have many ryobi tools, but the past few years they really seem to be stepping up their game in getting bang for your buck and have been happy with the few I’ve purchased. My plan was to eventually make a custom router table with a lift, but really needed to get things up and running fast. This seemed to fit the bill and was very easy to assemble. I have a Ridgid R2911 router I wanted to use (not listed as compatible). By removing the arms/handles on the router it fit just fine and fit one of the predrilled hole patterns. For the price I am considering buying a second table to run two different bits without changing out.

We bought this table a few days ago, as I decided that making my own bullnose stair tread edges was a good beginner project and since Forbo no longer makes the stair tread bullnose for their Marmoleum products. How hard could making a few round over cuts and dados be? Not too hard it turns out. I bought a Freud FT2000 router 20 years ago to put an edge on a cherry bar and the router has sat collecting dust since then. Retired now, blah blah blah, so I have to pick my battles. The Freud router didn’t fit the hole patterns on this table’s insert plate, so I carefully measured where the 3rd hold needed to be and using a countersink got it close enough for the router to mount ok. I finished the bullnose and dado cuts on this table just fine. Though I currently lack any kind of dust collection, clean up took longer than the cuts did. The attached image shows the installed stair treads.

I am very happy with this router table. The specifications state that it has a universal mount. One needs to verify that their router is on the box’s list of routers that will fit under the table top.
