The 18 piece set contains 6 of three different type blades that will meet the needs for most jobs. The blade are good quality and I haven’t had one break yet although I have become more proficient with using a scroll saw and user error breaks blades. The set includes 6 skip tooth blades for thin wood. The blade has 18.5 tooth per inch (TPI) and is .079″ wide and .0098″ thick. The package says it will work up to 3/4″ thick wood but I found it works entirely too slow on wood that thick. For that thickness, I used the regular tooth blades with are 15 TPI and .118″ wide and .0197″ thick. Finally, for wood up to 2″ thick, there are hook tooth blades with 7 TPI and they are .118″ wide and .0197″ thick. The blades are all 5″ long and pinned; they can cut wood or PVC. They are made in Switzerland.
