Installation kit was helpful but felt it could have been made a little more rugged. If you’re not perfect while using the bits, you will make nicks in the plastic. Otherwise worked as described.

This is a very nice door handle set to own, when you need it, it will perform like it states. There is some measuring and set up needed but everything you need is in this kit. From the saw blade to the adjustable template you’ll need to cut your door handle hole. I find this jig easy to set up and very ease to use with a little time to understand how it works.

Great idea. I like the other ryobi door router jigs, but this product is ehhh…. not the best. The Plastic template holes are too large and they allow for too much error. In addition, the distance of the hole center when set up for 2 3/4” holes is 1/8” short. That’s enough to cause issues. I use it for aligning with strike plate but still use tape measure for distance from door edge.

Yes but I wished I bought the next step up to make it easier. Getting the female plate to attach in the door jam, took some doing. Very old door, Rey hard oak wood. I made a paper template of the female plate attached it to the door jam, painted the end of the male part in the door lock, close the door, turn the lock to make an imprint on the paper for location to put the plate. Very old door, very hard oak. Done!

I used it two times works good

Works well, but Ryobi offers a similar unit for just a few dollars more that has an integrated clamp which is faster and doesn’t require drilling two more holes into your door that won’t be needed.

Worked very well! No deviations from instructions were necessary. This made a tedious job super easy well worth it.

It’s great that it comes with all the parts and is affordable. I wish it had a template for both sides of the door at the same time.

Worked good. But just use the spade bit guide as a marker cause if you don’t take jig off the door the spade bit will chew up the jig…

Lightweight and easy to use. I bought this for diy lock replacement where one of the boreholes wasn’t correctly sized and aligned. The only thing I missed was a mechanism to lock and hold it in place while I ran the drill.Worked well, problem solved, money saved. 🙂

I actually bought a similar item from harbor freight but thought the ryobi tool would work better it comes with a spade bit that the other kit didnt have. The if you own a 2″ hole and a 1″ spade bit you already have what you need to install a door lock or in my case a deadbolt. Now I have more bits for $15
