It worked well. I still had to chisel out some but I think it was because of the hardware I chose. I think it was a little thicker than normal. But it helps by giving a clear guide so you get it right the first time. I am a novice and used this on my first 4 doors I have ever installed. They turned out great.

Great Tool. May take a door or two to figure out how deep to make the latch plate. Recommend watching a YouTube Video on the product. I found chiseling out to almost the end and twisting made a nice clean mortise.

Makes mortising latches easy. Used it for over 12 doors and the tool held up.Screw bits would fall out after hammering to set set mortise. Didn’t see the need for them so I removed them from the clip.Overall great tool speeds up the job.

Quick and simple way to instal or retrofit doors. The screwdriver bits disappear after the first strike of a hammer. Might as well throw them out.
