These are not the sharpest bits, but they work… I have a Diablo that I put through the ringer and it lasted quite a while. I needed a different size, and instead of buying another $11 bit. I thought maybe I’d get a whole set for only twice the cost… I figured how much less sharp could these be.There is a definitive difference in their sharpness. That being said if you are using it on softer wood, projects that don’t require perfection, or you want to try to sharpen them yourself… They are more than adequate for most usage. Beyond that I would recommend getting the specific Diablo that you need.

Super sharp! They performed better than my Forstner bits. I would definitely recommend them.

This is my first set of forstner bits. I did not know they were intended to be used on a drill press, how ever I used a electric drill and they cut great. I will say that if your not used to cutting with these and it hits a bad spot on the wood it will twist your arm so be careful.

nice set.

This set will work great for an average homeowner drilling a few holes here and there.I used the 1 5/8″ bit to drill 6 holes in black walnut and oak, it was in need of resharpening or replacement, I may try to sharpen with a stone to see if I can get some more life out of it, the angles on the bit look fairly easy to sharpen.

The edges needed to be honed before I could use them for the first time! Not a total disappointment for the price! Typical Chinese!

Since I purchased the Ryobi Forstner bit set 7 piece I used a couple of the bits to create a vacuum cleaner accessory shelf to hold a few fittings which allowed me to see how well these bits perform. They cut very clean and leave no tear-out which made me glad I purchased this kit. I’m pleased!!!

Great product for a good price.

Bought this set to use on some of my craft projects. Not practical if you don’t have a drill press. The individual bits seem to be well made/quality material. They just were not the tool for my projects. Drilling 1 1/2″ into a 4X4 for tealight candles.

Worked as expected could have better case

These forstner bits are really sharp. They cut nice, clean holes without any tearout (so long as you use a scrap piece of wood underneath your project piece.

Great product. Wished it came in larger sizes. Comes in a handy case. Stays sharp and easy to change out. Used it to make holes in wood trunks and they turned out great.

I bought it for a craft project in mind, making tea light holders out of small birch logs. It did not work it seems that the wood is too hard caused it to move around side to side enlarging the hole. Since these were small in diameter I decided not to continue with the project. I did check to see if they would work with lumber which they worked fine.

they did just what I was hoping for. great clean hole
