Good for cutting holes to run wires or plumbing but for woodworking it leaves to much of a jagged edge. The holes are not smooth and clean, tends to wander of the mark also.

I use them for furniture projects and finished pieces. These are best used in a drill press (for straight holes) but work fine in my high-speed hand drill (2,000 rpm). They fit a 3/8″ chuck and have a strong shaft and are very sharp. The set includes the most common large sizes.

Fills in a need for my hole making work, better than the spade bits I had been using… well really much better. The combination of sizes was a real plus.

These bits are OK for occasional use but not for for professional or serious woodworker use. I chose this set for the various sizes included. I needed several sizes for a particular project.The steel these bits are made of isn’t going to hold an edge like the high set that I usually use.
