Easy to use. Actually works.

Like the title says, it works as intended. To properly use this bit you need to press your drill very firmly against the screw head and very slowly back out the screw. You’re not going to be able to backout the entire screw with this bit alone. You’ll need to use vise grips to remove it the rest of the way. Security screws are designed to be difficult to remove… this just makes it easier.

Go slow and be patient. These bits work very well if you apply pressure and back the screw out slowly. Set your drill on low and be gentle with the trigger.

It had no instructions so I had to figure it out myself… always use the guide that comes with the set if not the screw will keep slipping out from the bit. and u need a drill with alot of torque or a driver. TIGHTEN the screw till it hollows out the hole and it will set itself free. It took me 45 seconds to remove window bars with 6 1 way screws in it. Only 4 stars because it had no instructions and I had to figure it out myself.

Turns out this product really helped me out. And it wasn’t very expensive to purchase them . Thank you

Works well to back out tamper proof screws. If screw is recessed the diameter of the tool can be a problem if the screws are small.

Bought it to take out a old screen door and it took a while but was able to get the one way screws out

Did exactly what I needed it to do but using an impact or hammer drill is absolutely critical for it to work. All you need it to do is loosen the fastener then it will spin right out: https://www.homedepot.com/p/RYOBI-18-Volt-ONE-Lithium-Ion-Cordless-1-4-in-Hex-Impact-Driver-with-1-1-3-Ah-Battery-and-Charger-P1870/205336113?mtc=Shopping-B-F_D25T-G-D25T-25_9_PORTABLE_POWER-Multi-NA-Feed-LIA-NA-NA-PortablePower_LIA&cm_mmc=Shopping-B-F_D25T-G-D25T-25_9_PORTABLE_POWER-Multi-NA-Feed-LIA-NA-NA-PortablePower_LIA-71700000044155732-58700004615424082-92700051389149201&gclid=CjwKCAiAnfjyBRBxEiwA-EECLDjWbxW762JEy1kS40_cYk3bW6w7Sl-D6Xw3l5VuMoZqMeYN9j9SSRoCi30QAvD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds

Taking out a one way is a violent one time feet of accomplishment. I had 18 threaded bolts/screws in a metal door that’s 20+ years old. I extracted 12 out of 18 of them. You get one shot the pressure and the depth of your bit have to be right on. If not you will flatten head of bolt and then you need to grind it off. The six I didn’t extract were mainly user error or imperfect depth or not enough pressure. These bits make their own edge on the bolt don’t expect anything like this to be easy. Haven’t tried a different type but I’m sure there would be better ones but for a one time deal vs cost well???

I recently used this tool to install a screen door for my son, The Ryobi tool vs. a standard flat head screwdriver made this install the easiest job ever. The tool fit perfectly over the one-way screws, Great install. Good Job Ryobi on this tool.

Used these to remove the one way screws on the door locks. It’s kinda tricky since it doesn’t seem to grip in the reverse direction. Just align the blades with the screw head, then press it in hard on your drill. It may slip off a few times, but once the screw takes a turn, it’ll be quick from there. Just apply pressure and keep it straight. If it doesn’t work, take out your dremel or file to cut slot on your screw head for a flathead driver. If that doesn’t work either, get a new door.
