Bought this for two reasons 1) My speedloader drill is much higher RPM that my normal “chucked” drill 2) It’s easier to carry one drill.These bits are quality and handle any situation that needs higher RPM without problem. Used them extensively over the last 2 months, without any damage to the bits.This set includes all of the most common size bits needed, so I find that I do not need to carry my other drill nearly as often. Moreover, because they are speedload, changing from drill bit to Phillips head is fast. I’m sure we’ve all been in the situation where it would be best to drill a pilot hole, but didn’t want to pull out the other drill, find the bit etc, so we just screwed without the pilot hole and caused a break or bulge. With these bits in your kit, it’s only a few seconds to make the pilot hole instead of several minutes.

This is my fourth set. I keep one in the garage, workroom, kitchen, and my daughter has one. The set has almost any size drill I’ve needed, and they are durable enough for anything except hard steel. I particularly like the hex shank, because I have drills made for them, and they are lighter than drills with conventional chucks. Sets like this are hard to come by, so I’m glad Ryobi still sells them.

I purchased this set of small and medium drills so that I’d not get stuck, and have to stop work to re-charge the battery, if my battery powered drill-driver battery got completely drained (and thus stopped working), and I could use these to continue to work with my battery powered impact driver ( which only has the speed-load quick change chuck). Its a pretty good value for the price, as long as you have the discipline to put the bits back in the green plastic holder when you’re done with them. Small head’s up – these work well as long as the 1/4″ hex-body is centered with the axis of each of the individual drill-bits. You have no way to determine that without opening the package. Sometimes the appearance that they’re well centered is not confirmed when you start to use the drill-bit. The axis will gimbal as it rotates if its not true.
