Works great and seems well built. The only negative would be the miter gauge, it works fine but is cheap plastic.

It’s good for what I need II for, but would be great if it had a speed control. I’m sure it will be fine, I just need to learn how to use it, adjust to the machine.

Working well, Using the 80 to 120 grit belts and discs covers my needs at this time. Currently the belts and discs are available locally, which is always a plus.

Solid sander. Would have preferred power switch on an end rather than side.

Bought this unit today and got right to work with sanding some items I had piled up. Learning curve for me as I’d never used one of these but after that, it worked great. I even sharped a couple of my woodturning tools for the heck of it. It’s compact and works great for small projects. Plenty of power for my needs. The sanding surface size is ideal as well. I didn’t want to break the bank getting into woodworking so the price is right.

I am not crazy about the plastic housing, but the main parts are mostly solid. It seems to work pretty well other then being squeaky at times. It has a good amount of power for an moderate expense sander. I would definitely recommend it for the hobby worker or moderate level woodworker. The design is pretty good and changing belts is easy. I am only on number 3. I will tell you “don’t lose you alum wrench” because it is an odd size and needed to change the belt on sanding level. I have only used the 3×24 belt as the circular sanding is not practical for my use.

Works like a charm except the 6in pad would be easier to come of if it had a Velcro pad other than that beautiful

I have a 12X18 shed I use for wood working and have very limited space. This sander’s compact size fits in nicely. It was also very easy to set up initially. The belt guard wand disk platform both set up naturally at 90 degrees. The dust exhaust, like all the other Ryobi equipment I have, does not match my shop vac or the other equipment.

Very compact machine but quite effective for sanding even quite large wooden parts

Overall this is a good unit – it is a bit finicky to set the belt to run straight. It does a great job

the unit is solid built and well design. the motor is very powerful and not crazy loud when running .the sanding belt is easy to change and sanding disks are easy to change as well. the design was well thought out for the general home owner or woodworking craftsman.
