I went thru a two traklife and a skil sander, all which stopped working after using for less than a month. I then purchased the Ryobi sander and have been very pleased with it. I have used it for several hours at a time and it has preformed great.

Disclaimer: I have only used twice.I used this with really no issues, except a slight belt creep. But I understand that’s common on belt sanders. I have the plug in version and the only worry I had was keeping an eye on the cord. It did a great job, nice smooth finish. Fits nicely in my hands. Easy to set-up, easy to change belts. If your looking for a belt sander that won’t empty your pocket….. here it is.

Dust collection did not work on very course sandpaper (26 grit) -my wife and I did the floor in a room 20 by 20 and the machine did a good job. Will step up the grit to a 60 and see if it collects the dust. Will let you know later if (we are old and slow) it works when we try the 60 grit.

Good little sander however it doesn’t seem to grind completely flat. It could just be my situation with lots of half cut logs in the house that are not all level, but it does feel like I have to tilt to the right a bit to get it to sand evenly. This opinion is after using the sander for over 15 hours of work at least. On the positive side, it works very quick. The included sanding belt lasts a long time. The dust collector collects most of the dust and also fills up quick. The tool is not too heavy for extended periods of work. I would’ve preferred the cordless bit this was lighter and much cheaper.

I really enjoy my new belt sander. It’s light wait and rugged and gets the job done. I replaced and old craftsman which I had for about ten years. No complaints on it but it finally burned up. I checked several brands but I liked the Robin best.

Worked well for the money. We saved money over renting a sander for our deck.

It did the job and was easy to change the belt paper

Bought this baby for my deck renovation project. I’m a woman in my 40s who doesn’t have any experience. The deck isn’t big but I have two sets of stairs so needed something efficient. It worked pretty well with 80 grit on redwood, but not so well with 60 grit. Overall there is no setup really, just plug in and go. It made the project manageable and went faster.
