Solid product. Works best on smooth, untextured surfaces. If you have textured walls, you might want to use a framed picture. Solid bit of product, in all other respects.

This is one of those products that make you wonder about the engineers’ intelligence who designed it, and whether they field tested their contraption. Because the battery compartment is half-baked. Removing the access cap was difficult, as compressing the tab doesn’t release it very well at all. I had to pry on both sides of the cap to get it off because it seemed like it was glued shut! So after I did manage to remove it, I sprayed the insides with silicone spray. Then inserting and removing batteries is the oddest and unnatural setup I’ve ever seen in any electrical device. It’s just not thought out well at all. But the laser level itself is convenient and works well.

I don’t give 5’s but I did for this. The air suction works great. 20 foot beam. As your batteries fade the length of the beam will also. Don’t blame the device. I have a grip problem and a muscle disorder. This made my project of hanging some paintings my Dad did (in his 70’s with Parkinson disorder) a breeze. I added a photo so you could see the project.
