I used the laser to mark a grid pattern on a quilt. I had to elevate the laser it a tiny bit (used a wooden toothpick) then used a quilting ruler and Frixion pen to mark the grid.

Very small and portable. The laser is pretty accurate, but I had a hard time keeping it on the wall with the pin that it came with. The instructions also suggest using an adhesive strip, so I might try that in the future.

The first one I bought didn’t work. I returned it to Home Depot and opened another at the Costomer Service desk and that one didn’t work. It turns out that the battery contacts are misplaced and need to be bent to make contact. I kept the 2nd one.

Overall it did what I needed it to do but I ended up having to return it. The laser doesn’t hold, so I constantly have to be pressing/clicking the button and marking with a pencil which I prefer not to do. The material is very light and once I get into position don’t breathe otherwise the laser will move. The range is very weak, If you need something more than 6 ft, this is not ideal.

I was hanging up a gallery wall and this tool was perfect for the job. I can see why people said the laser trails off, it needs a little work to make sure the laser stays on the wall. Overall, very happy with the tool for a small job.
