I purchased this for a specific project (putting together an electric fireplace TV stand and I am very happy that I did. I can’t imagine putting that thing together with a manual screw driver. Not as good as the old one in that this one does not “lock” in the screwdriver bit or drill bit. I was drilling a small hole and my drill bit came out of the screwdriver as I pulled it back. I had to use my other hand to hold it as I pulled the drill bit out of the wall. Didn’t have to do that on the other model.

Got this for assembling furniture and it definitely made the process much easier and more efficient. The battery may not be as strong so I’d recommend charging it when you take a break while working just so it doesn’t run out on you in the middle of what you’re doing. Still an excellent buy 🙂

I spent a great deal of time investigating the various models of “low voltage” – Battery Screw Drivers on the market. Of all the units available, the RYOBI – 4 Volt Kit ranked #1 for me. The overall versatility is perfect. This unit has enough torque to handle any small job that this size of tool is designed for – with extra torque to spare. I also have a similar 12 Volt – Electric Screwdriver Kit, a bit heavier however, it was nearly $75 more but the RYOBI does much of the same work the bigger models can. Overall, this kit is well worth the value with the kit packaged as I purchased it. I can charge the unit in an hour and a good charge will last me nearly a week. I have owned this tool for a month now and it indeed exceeds all of my expectations.
